http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2644869/British-drug-mule-Mellisa-Reids-exclusive-Peruvian-prison-diary.html?login#readerCommentsCommand-message-field - I don't think many people will have much sympathy for these two Scumbags, they deserve everything they have got, and should serve their full term in Peru, why should the British taxpayers pay for them to be in prison in the UK.. Next they will be telling us they thought it was chocolate they were carrying to Peru.

In Baghdad, a terrorist who was in the middle of conducting a training for future militants, accidentally blew up an entire class, killing 21 of his students, and himself. The group was part of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, the terror group that has been participating in a string of attacks in the United States. The incident may be viewed as a metaphor for the many lives lost in the wake of foreign and domestic terrorists’ relentless attempts to convert the nation into an extreme-religious state. In this turn of events, it appears that many innocent lives may have actually been spared. In fact, in one recent attack alone, 7 innocent people were killed. …

Original Article: http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/news/local/police-project-puts-crime-hotdesk-in-a-peterborough-supermarket-1-6087532 Long article summarised: They're piloting an idea whereby they have a stall in a local supermarket, manned 5 days a week, for people to report minor crimes, voices concerns and so on. Maybe things that are too minor to go out of their way to report and to make the police more approachable. What do you think? In that district a few days ago a man was found beaten to death; a 15, 16 and 17 year old male and a 16 year old female have all been arrested. Maybe this is a factor? Food for thought..

Why is it that as soon as someone has been convicted of something, it seems the first thing they do is launch an appeal. In this man's case, I hope the appeal is overturned. I have been involved in cases where whena person has appealed their sentence the judge in fact increases the given sentence, NOT decreases it. Let's hope that happens in this case !

I read with interest the latest efforts of the IPCC to prevent the retirement of an officer involved in a death in custody. The Commision accepts that it has no powers to prevent this but is stamping its collective feet, nonetheless. They want the opportunity to have a pop for gross misconduct. Presumably the prospect of a criminal hearing is unlikely. Bernie Two Dads has approved the retirement. Irrespective of the merits of the case, I do wonder how having a hearing almost seven years after the event (when all the parties involved will have been known from the outset) conforms to Art 6 ECHR and the right to a timely hearing.

Cliff Caswell. - A furious Police Federation official has called on Home Secretary Theresa May to apologise for “demeaning the office of constable” during her speech to the staff association conference. Ian Hanson (pictured), Chairman of the Greater Manchester branch board maintained that Mrs May had launched a vitriolic attack that was directed “at every officer in the country”. Mr Hanson was one of a number of officials who were left shocked at the tone of the Home Secretary’s speech. In it she said reform was needed in the Police Service following a string of high profile integrity cases, including historic probes such as Hillsborough. The Home Secretary a…
