Hi, I am a serving Surrey officer currently based at Staines. I am moving my family to Essex this spring to be closer to my wife's family as we cannot afford full time child care. I am therefore looking for a place to crash when I am on shift. I work 6 days on (2 early, 2 late and 2 nights) and then 4 days off. If you have a room or know of anyone who is looking for a lodger please let me know. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hopefully someone on this forum can answer a few questions about Surrey Police as I'm struggling to get information. I am considering transferring as a regular and wondered 1) Does Surrey Police still operate an area car system? If so what are the vehicles and are they considered high performance (ie only advanced drivers can drive them?) 2) How does work break down between TPT and Neighbourhoods/Investigation? Do TPT attend non immediate calls, take statements etc? 3) Is there parking at Staines Police Station? 4) What if any percentage of TPT officers are issued Taser? Any answers much appreciated

Was given a crime Ref number by a Surrey PC today. And I mentioned it was different from what they ussualy give. He then told me it all changed when they merged with Sussex, also dishing out the BMWs which used to be traffic to TPT? I thought the merger was on hold? Or has is it been put back in motion?

So we started it today as a team specials, regulars and staff. Even ma'am was there running as the team. Only 247ish miles to go and 124 days remain..

Hi, I'm in the process of deciding whether to transfer from Met to Surrey, On my borough in the Met at the moment, we do a lot of our own thing as specials, setting up our own operations. Do the specials sometimes do there own thing in surrey? Or is it governed by what OPs the regulars are doing?

This short video is from a Carlton TV Documentary called Inside Crime. Filmed in Camberley, Surrey featuring Specials http://youtu.be/pU8ZoSBKRDs

I can not find the Volunteers Department phone number. Each time I used the switchboard number, I can not find a suitable option and I have been given the same phone number I called in the first place which put me through to that person. Any help?

I have my final interview for the regs next week, so no matter the outcome, I'm close to the end of the process, which sure has come around fast! Is anyone else in the same boat, or waiting in the pool at present?

Hi guys, I've been sent an area preference form to fill out in order to progress my application, they have attached a map of the Surrey Police boroughs, but ask you to specify Northern, Eastern or Western Division. How do we know which boroughs fall into whatever division? Thanks, Ryan

New Chief Officer for the Special ConstabularyChris Chapman has been confirmed as the new Chief Officer for the Special Constabulary, replacing James Deller who is moving to the Metropolitan Police.
