Surrey Police

Hi everyone. Been ages since I posted here...about 2 years I think! Does anyone have anymore insight into the interview for transferring to Surrey? I have my interview in early October and would like to prepare appropriately. I have already spoken with a few friends already in Surrey but unfortunately none had transferred in. I have also met up with the local PC to ask questions, compare and find out more about surrey's policies, procedures and priorities. Any help appreciated!

Hello all, I am looking to transfer to Surrey Police and have a number of questions. If anyone can answer some or all of them it would be a great help! If anyone has recently transferred any general comments or advice surrounding the process would be appreciated. Thanks... Is overtime easy to come by? Is this usually staying on to help the next shift or can extra days be requested etc... How soon after starting would a response driving course be given? Are these easy to get or is there a long waiting list? Do police stations have parking for personal cars? What is the shift pattern like, is it the usual 6 on 4 off? Thanks for any replies, …

So I've just noticed that surrey are recruiting Police officers, I'm popping an Application in now as I move down there to start another job in September but would much prefer this one! Anyone else applying?

Hello, I applied for Surrey Police back in March 16 and was told that the intakes will be between Jan 17 and Jun 17. I have completed everything they have asked from me including the CKP. They have informed me that they cannot give any more information regarding the intakes. My last correspondence with them was 12 Dec 16. With the intake opening dates approaching, just curious to see how other applicants are getting on with their application process and if anybody has received any formal offer also does the formal offer arrive via the Post or Email? Hi all, It seems Surrey allow new PCs to work in 11 week attachments for both CID and SNT during their first year. Can someone clarify where the attachments are with respect to location. As in, if you are posted to work in Guildford for response, then will all attachments also be at Guildford? Having to commute a long distance to another station for only the attachment period would be bothersome. For the 11ish week initial training course, at which point are you attested and obtain your warrant card? At which point during this period will you be given your posting? Thanks in advance
