I'm on the next intake (pre induction on 24th July) and have been fitted for my uniform. Does anyone know when we receive it and how much of it we will be given to take home.

Hey guys just wondered weather anybody could lend me a hand. currently going half way though training and have my first practical this week. i have been trying to cram in as much section revision that i can, but i am struggling to find anything on the MLE that lists the acronyms that will be needed. does anybody know of a place that they will be listed. ta matt

Hi all. Even though i've used this forum for info in the past, i've only just signed up so this is my first post. Im due to start sc training at the end of July. I've chosen to work out of Barnsley but wondered if you can only work out of one station. I think i'd like to do some shifts at Penistone where i live but wondered how that would work regarding leaving kit etc. Thanks

I'm sure this has been discussed before but with the influx of new specials over the next few years will the regulars start to think that specials are filling in for the short fall in regular police numbers?

I was a couple of years into the job, things were as good as they could be, I knew what I was doing on duty, nothing bothered me, i would attend anything and deal with it, I pushed myself to be a good SC and ended up being a Tutor Section officer (although Im a bit poor on the spelling, nothing stopped me from trying to be good at the job), Ive had my moments on here and actually almost got barred for being rather outspoken, looking at most of the post on here these days worries me :new_no: , where has all the fun gone that comes with being an SC?? :new_wave: , lets see some of you new guys get out and have a laff outside the job :drinking: , we did, look at the photo's …

I found out a couple of days ago that my assessment day is on Saturday so I haven't much time to prepare. Does anybody know what sort of competency questions I will get asked in the interview? Nervous!

Morning all, so I have passed the in force interview for the regs. Next stage of the process is the vetting, medical etc which should all be a formality as I passed them for the Specials. Anyone else on here passed?
