Specials are to no longer have the crown on their epaulettes in South Yorkshire to save that extra few pence. now i see the logic in this but i personally have 2 views and im sure regulars will certainly have views. View 1 - I arrested a polish guy who spoke no English, it was a nasty arrest and it ended up in A and E. this guy had a really b-line for me and we couldn't understand why, i was with 2 regulars. when we finally got an interpretor and he was asked why he said it was because i was in charge and the other two officers were doing what i said. when told we were all the same rank he said we were lying because i have a crown! ( I got a lot of spit because of the cr…

Hi guys! Just a quick question, what did people put on the health questionnaire when asked how many days off they have had due to illness or accident over the past 3 years? I think I've had off about 15 however I don't want to get knocked back at this stage as 15 could be seen as quite a few!. Did anyone put more than 15 and get accepted or does it not matter? Thanks

I have just passed my assessment centre! And have got all the vetting forms today, on the health questionnaire it asks how many days have you had off in the last 3 years due to illness or accident. Does anybody know how many days off they frown upon? Because I can say I've had around 10 off in 3 years. To me that seems minimul but I have no idea what they frown upon and I don't want to get knocked back at this stage, help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. Adam.

In the first place, I don't think there should be any PCC's. We were all TOLD we were having them and then, like children, that we were expected to vote for them. Since then we have had nominees being barred because of ancient convictions for paltry offences committed in their youth and televised party political wrangling with one or two 'ex-heavyweights' thinking they would get their noses in the trough. With something like 12% of the electorate bothering to vote, surely this would send a message to Government to say that they were a waste of time and money? No, Government are hell-bent on keeping these thorns in the side of CC's and so they drag out all the tools in …

Ok so after passing paper sift, then passing assessment, I had my medical 2 weeks ago. When do you think I should hear back? All went well I think. What would be the next step now.... fitness? South yorkshire recruitment seems to be different to west as they had their fitness test with their assessment. Any one at this stage or just passed it? Thanking you :-)
