Morning all, I hope you're all well and staying as safe as possible. I submitted my application for a full time PC role with Norfolk Constabulary yesterday. I wondered if there was anyone with recent experience of the recruitment process in Norfolk that could give any advice on the process ahead or timescales? Any hints, tips and information would be great! Thanks

Hello, Apologies, this is my second new post of the day! I have been reading through the forum for any helpful hints on my current application to become a PC. In doing so, I have seen that some applicants have either been rejected or delayed in their application due to past mental health difficulties. This has concerned me regarding my application and wondered if I could please get some advice or thoughts from others who have applied or have knowledge of the recruitment process in Norfolk? As an overview, I am a resilient and stable person and have been working as a mental health clinician for five years. In the past, I have had the following mental healt…

Hello, Just wondering if anyone else on here has passed everything and is waiting for their start date with Norfolk? I have been provisionally booked in for the July intake, but I’ve been advised that it’s subject to change.

Hi all, I have a couple of questions about the recruitment process for Norfolk. I have just passed the A/C (squeaked through with 59%, had a couple of bad role plays!) and wondered if anyone had heard anything about rough dates for final interview etc? Are the A/C scores taken into account in conjunction with the final interview or is it a pass/fail situation? I only ask this as I'm well aware I had a prerty poor A/C! Finally, I have a question regarding Vetting...I myself have a perfectly clean record and have been in the military before so have undergone some security vetting but unfortunately, I can't say the same for my family. My father spent time in prison for (I b…

I'm considering relocating from Sussex to Norfolk. I have friends in Downham Market so will probably end up there or nearby in Kings Lynn or Swaffham. What are the areas like not just to police in but also to live in?

Can anyone advise whether Norfolk operate a force wide shift pattern for response or whether it is tailored to local areas and demand? Cheers Rusty

So I've passed all my assessments and medicals and my references have all been returned so I am getting hyped for the start of my course, pending vetting coming back *fingers crossed*. So, I was wondering when Norfolk does uniform fitting. Do we train in uniform? Shall I buy boots now or wait until further down the line? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm really thinking about applying to be a special. I always wanted to be in the police but ended up working in learning disabilities when I left college, decided I wanted to become an allied health professional, did three years at uni and have been working in mental health, which I love! I've checked with Norfolk Constabulary and they say there is no conflict with my current job or previous jobs in particular units. BUT I keep thinking about applying to be a special because I think I will kick myself if I don't and the worst they can say is no!! So, I was just wondering how other people manage full time hours (37.5++ sometimes!) and to get the 16 hours a month in.…
