Hey guys. Since this isn't the most active forum, i thought I'd draw some attention the force area. I applied for Norfolk in January, passed my PIRT in February, Interview passed in April, as was my vetting. Medical booked for 9th of March....... And then the wait!! How long did you guys have to wait till you recieved a training date? I actually cannot wait!! Whats the training like? 9th of may my medical!! Woops

Hello all. Basically trying to find out the latest on Regular recruitment drives, I was a special for 3 years with Kent police while at Uni. That was two years ago... and yet still waiting for either Norfolk/ Suffolk too start their recruiment. I have heard rumours Suffolk are due to start in Easter. Any such good news across the border? I live in Diss, so am hoping either way there will be good news and ill be poised to jump on the bandwagon!! Regards Burgess118

I took my PIRT at Wymondham on Monday, along with three other candidates, and I passed! Hope the other three did too. Got the letter today saying that the interview date is to be confirmed soon. I'm well chuffed - especially because I thought I'd screwed up when I didn't finish all the table comparison questions. Out of 27, I only managed to do 17, but I know they were all correct because I checked each one twice. Can't wait for the interview, the first one I've ever looked forward to! lol

Well after everything going so well and hitch free, I have slightly stumbled...My work has declined my holiday request, (even with 2 months notice!). as the training is every other weekend it falls on my working weekend, so my boss has said no you can't have it off because he is away for the first few weekends!! So it is now looking like I have to wait 8 more weeks to start training, that is providing I get on the November course! On a different note, how many weekend training sessions are there for Norfolk SC's? Some have said there are 8, some have said 10 can any serving Norfolk SC's or SC's in training confirm how many there are? Cheers, Will

Hello everyone in the Norfolk Constabulary, I have passed my application, PIRT, references and last week I passed the interview!!!! (hooray). Next stage is the medical..... (I have to book this with Occupational Health - allowing 5 days for my medical details to be sent to them via Wymondham). I hope I pass the medical stage... I think once I get through this part of the process the training is within sight! Fingers crossed - nice to meet you all.... I have been researching and reading lots of the posts on this website - they have been very helpful to me whilst preparing for the interviews. All the best - Me.

I have saw a few different forces get issued with differnt kit/amounts of kit, so what does Norfolk get issued? and at what stage?

Well I have been told today that I will be on the training course starting in September..a little further away than I would have liked but none the less I am still very much looking forward to the challenges that lay ahead. Hey guys, I've recently passed my Pirt and am now awaiting my interview date. Very nervous to say the least! Has anyone got any hints/tips/advice for interview prep? Was it as bad as you imagined? Also, I've been waiting over a month for my interview date, is this normal? Don't want to be a nuisance to recruitment by constantly asking them questions! Regards

I have heard lots of stories about being allowed to, not being allowed to, you need this and that before you can drive, so what, if anything, can you drive as a SC in Norfolk. Also can you do the response driving course in Norfolk as a SC?

Hi, i know to most this will probably seem like a silly thing to start a topic about but there is an 8yr old boy who keep's attacking my 6yr old son when we go to visit my son's grandmother's. I wouldn't normally bother with something like this as of course every child is bound to come across some type of bullying at some point in their life but on the last visit to my son's grandmother's this 8yr old boy was trying to strangle my 6yr old son and this worries me, for what i would hope is obvious reasons. My concern is what if next time we go on a visit this 8yr does some real harm to my son and i'm not there to stop it in time, is there anything i can legally do if this b…
