Norfolk Constabulary

What, if any, are the fitness requirements for Norfolk Specials, I know some forces have fitness tests, but I have not yet completed one or been told I will be completing one. If there is a test, at what stage is it taken, as currently I am waiting to start training in September. Will

Been waiting 6 weeks, my patience started to wear thin and my confidence of getting in slowly disapeared! But I called up today and I am down for training in November, however on reserve for September! Either way I'm in, what a journey! And it hasn't even begun yet

Hi, I'm currently awaiting my final results for my medical (drugs test) and a training start date. I was hoping maybe some of you Special Constables that are already through training and all could let us know what it's like? Would just find it really interesting to see what thoughts and what you find is the best part about being a Special in the Norfolk Constabulary! Would greatly appreciate it! any stories or just general favourite highlights of what you've done so far Thanks!

It's my interview in about 3 hours! :D I'm so nervous! 2nd interview I have ever done, so I'm worried I'm going to be too nervous haha if that makes sense? :D Anyway, wish me luck! Going to nail it!

Well I passed my interview and am awaiting my medical. I did manage to get it booked for a few days after the interview, but for some reason the OC Health department had to put it back to 23rd May. I'm sure that i will pass it as I have no major medical issues and don't take any drugs so that part won't be a problem. Not to jump the gun but after the medical, what is involved/what should be expected at the next stage, what is the training like, what does it involve? How much note taking is there mixed with practical things? Any info as always will be greatly received. Regards, Will

Well the time for my interview has finally come, just over an hour and it will be starting. As i'm sure everyone would be i'm slightly nervous, however looking forward to it and more so the result to see if i'm through to the next stage! I got my interview date this morning, it is on 19th April. I'm perhaps a little nervous but looking forward to it overall. I have seen lots of threads asking what to expect question wise, there seems to be a theme of questions based on the Police officer key competencies. Where can I get a copy of these so I can properly prepare for the interview? Regards, Will

Hey all! My first training day is this coming saturday 9th (excited and nervous!) and it states to wear "smart clothing." Just wondering if anyone who's experienced the training could tell me if this literally means suits and black trouses etc?? kind regards! Rachael

Hi there, Just a simple question. I have heard of travel benefits offered to Suffolk and Metropolitan Police Regulars and Specials. I was wondering if this same "free travel" is offered to police in Norfolk or more specifically Norwich? Thank you for any responses!

I live in Norwich and am strongly considering applying for the specials, can anyone give any general insight into the life of a norwich/norfolk special?
