Ladies and gents We do have a private area of this forum that only Hampshire officers and staff have access to. In order to gain access you will need a seperate password. I would suggest the criteria for access is for one of us to send an email to your job account with the current password, to ensure we are only allowing access to serving officers. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about the SC recently, especially in the context of the OCP that Hampshire is undertaking. I personally believe that the SC is a resource that is not being utilised as much as it could be; partly due to training, partly due to how senior officers regard us and our remit. I noticed that the force policy on the SC got update in the last few weeks. There are interesting changes in the policy such as previously our remit was stated as being purely an SNT resource but now states both SNT and TPT. I'm currently doing the PLC. Due to do workshop 19 next. Recent news of cutting over 500 police officer posts doesn't fill me with confidence that my time and effort being put in is actually going to get me anywhere in the next decade. I'm over half way through and have a half completed 48 page work book in front of me. Any one else having similar thoughts of chucking it in following recent developments?

So, I would just like some more information on the ride along, do Hampshire police allow civilian ride alongs and what are the restrictions (age, disabilities etc). Does anyone know if specials can get access to this? It used to work fine when the control room could send long jobs down to the printer at the nick but now there is no way to read the log before going to a job without access to mobile altaris. My last shift we had to get the controller to email it to us. I see there is an Ncalt module on this too. !! EDIT ::: Sorry, Should have posted this in the Hampshire section. Could someone move it?

Hi all! Just have a quick question. Next step for me is a uniform fitting which I am looking forward to. Do Hampshire Constabulary issue you with boots at your uniform fitting? I'm pretty sure its a no but I just want to be 100% sure before I look into ordering some Alt-Berg P1 Aqua boots. Also, I have heard rumours that Alt-Berg offer a 30% discount for Police. Can anyone confirm this for me and if so how do you go about getting this discount in the first place. Thanks and look forward to hearing back from you all.
