Before training I need to learn radio status codes. Can anyone shed light on what they actually are? I presume they are a way of informing control of your status without clogging up the radio, so if you were at a scene you'd simply press 6 on your radio. Am I right? Or talking nonsense?

Hi everyone Just for info - we have now been informed that if our usual duty uniform is no 3 (black shirts) we can now wear them when attending training at Netley & Southwick park, rather than no 2 uniform (white shirts) Thank goodness, it's so much more comfortable to wear rather than sitting round in a classroom with a tie on!

Hi all, I have just received confirmation that I will have my induction on the 15th January. Induction is closely followed by the various training dates and attestation is on June 29th. Applied in August and have been in the waiting game since September 9th when I had my assessment centre. All in all I think I've done quite well time wise. I hope the others in my assessment centre / fitness test groups have done ok. Anybody else on the Jan 15th induction?

Hey all, hope youve all had an amazing christmas and i wish everyone on PS.com all the best for the new year! Now, I know that to apply for 99% if not 100% of all police forces through-out the United Kingdom require that all applicants have a driving licence. I am eager to get started on lessons again and its been over a year since i had a lesson and my last instructor was very intimidating and impatient. I was wondering if anyone could reccommend any driving schools/instructors in the Fareham, Gosport area. It would be a huge help if anyone can give me some reccommendations. Many Thanks In Advance.
