Hampshire Constabulary

Morning all, Has anyone heard if they have a place on 4th Feb yet? Do you know if we will receive a letter or e-mail? Cheers

Could anybody clarify if you need a Hampshire address to apply to be a Police Officer with Hampshire? I know the website currently states that you must have a Hampshire address for the transferee applications currently being accepted, however does anyone know if you will need one when/if they open the main recruitment in early 2010? Other forces state on their website if you must have a local address or not, however I can't find any informaton such as this on the Hants website. Regards

In september/october i had my assesments for the hampshire specials. I am happy to say i passed them all and i was promtly sent all my vetting questionnaires and medical forms. I filled in the forms as soon as i recieved them and sent them back within 3 weeks. They sent my medical form back as my GP had not put a practice stamp on the form. At the top of the form there was a date recieved stamp with the 26th october in. It has been nearly 8 weeks since i sent all my relevant documentation and im wondering if anyone has any ideas to how much longer i will have to wait. Hiya Guys, Has anyone else out there had the call for 30th November? Mine came on Monday and I have gone slightly crazy on organisation since. Where is everyone coming from? I am having to move down from Somerset, so have had to find somewhere to rent (luckily have achieved this). I just can't believe that it has finally come around. Hey, I have my start date through for the 9th November, just trying to see who else out there has this date. If you fancy having a chat about anything then drop me a line, be nice to speak to a couple of people before the 9th November. On another note what type of shoes/boots are people buying for training. I have the sheet contained in the pack displaying different types of shoes and boots but I am unsure which option to go with, although I am leaning towards a pair of Magnum Classic boots, Thanks Andy

Well I figured we might as well have a thread for all those starting on the 28th Sept. (Ian & Thieftaker, it is by no means exclusvie, don't want you getting lonely in the 7th Sept thread!!) Hopefully this way we'll all be well acquainted with eachother when the 28th comes round!!

I used to think I was the most organised person in the world but now I am doubting that. I know a few of you blokes have mentioned parade shoes. I have got my boots bulled to a really good standard and wonder if I actually need shoes as well. I've spent a small fortune on the boots and don't want to buy shoes if they're not used that often. Any advice?

Hello all, Just wondered if there were more people on the next intake other than myself and ThiefTaker2b! Hampshire seems to be very under-represented online! Surely there are more of us out there?! Just thought would be good for us all to break the ice before the big day which I am sure is going to be nerve racking enough!

Can anyone tell me what immunisations I need other than Hep B and tetanus? I can't find anything in the pack I received.

Can anyone tell me if female police officers get issued/loaned a skirt which would mean buying a second pair of shoes. As nice and comfortable that magnums may be I don't think they'd go with a skirt.

Hi, I received a letter from Hants constabulary saying that I had passed the application process and have my assessment day on the 13th June at 08:45am. Is anyone else here going to the same assessment day?
