Hampshire Constabulary

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/9276229.Police_to_spend___67m_on_new_custody_suites/ So it looks like 4 new custody blocks will be built, with Southampton and I guess Pompey staying open? What do people think?

Hello all: How in Hampshire can you identify SC, by collar number or SC on epaulets? I have recently moved down and have yet to see an SC on duty. Regards Davies

Dear Colleagues of the Special Constabulary and police mad ben, I and the operations manager of Gunwharf Quays, Sean Sweeney MBE; would like to formally invite you to a policing event being held at and hosted by Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth on the 9 of October 2010. Just thought I'd keep everyone up to date and express my excitement that I got my foundation induction date through today for the 16th November! I'm now nearing the end of my Gateway workshops and together with the number of attachments I have done and very experienced officers who have been prepared to answer my questions and help me learn, I have gained a lot of knowledge to get me started! Really looking forward to starting it all and getting my kit; anyone know roughly how long it will take 'til attestation? I'm guessing January sort of time?

Hi guyssss! Just want to say well done to everyone in class 411, who today passed there final exam !!!! See you all at our attestation !!!!! Calv

Evening all. Got an email today inviting me to start the gateway training on 1st October. Is anyone else starting then? Chris

Well done to Portsmouth City Centre Unit and Hants Police for showing them how it's done! Source

Just wondering if anyone is policing Bestival this year? Regards Chris

Hi all, Whilst waiting for my partner outside Claire's accessories in Newport today, I spoke to a Special Constable about the application process, the interview, and fitness test stage. I forgot to note the Officer's shoulder number, but I would like to not only say thank you to the Officer for easing my concerns about the fitness test, but also to make a note, that the particular Officer is a credit to Hampshire Constabulary, and from my brief chat with him this afternoon, an excellent role model, as he was friendly, approachable, and was more than happy to spend all the time in the world discussing Hampshire Policing, at no point did I feel I was an inconvenience, or…

Hello everyone. Does anyone know how often the appeals go in the candidates favour? I have put forward everything to PSVU and met with a very friendly chap personally, so I'm really hoping it all gets turned around. Anyone got any personal tales of this subject? Thanks.

Hello all Please accept may appologies if this is a silly question but I am currently trying to collect as much information as I can as I am determined to become a special. I currently reside in Dorset but have noticed that there is no intention to recruit for special constables until 2013. However I live in wimborne which is very close to the Dorset Hampshire boundry and was worndering if I were to apply to the hampshire constabulary instead that i would be considered and would there be any chance of being posted somewhere close to the border like Ringwood. Please dont get me wrong I dont mind having to travel to a station should I get accepted but wanted to know w…

So do you think the recent riots will force the management to possibly offer MAST training to Specials? I have a feeling that this will be at least talked about, if Southampton and Portsmouth kicked off then they'd need all the resources they can get, so surely it's worth the investment?

Hi guys Help!! I've misplaced one of my Gateway books (the one with the info and dates of classroom sessions in. Anyone know what times the workshops are on Sunday 31st July for workshops 1 and 2?! Thanks guys Sam
