DYFED-POWYS Police's crime commissioner Christopher Salmon is being ordered to "come clean" on his position regarding the future of the force's police helicopter. It comes after information obtained by Plaid shows Mr Salmon did not oppose the scrapping of the helicopter or closure of the Pembrey base by the National Police Air Support (NPAS). Since I was a child I've always had the idea of joining the police in the back of my head and I thought now as I'm turning 18 at the end of this year I would look into it in some more depth than I previously have, but I have a few questions to ask as I'm not quite sure on them, so if any help could be provided I would be very grateful, Thank you. preparing for the fitness test

I know I am pre-empting things a little as I have only just sent my application off and don't even know if I have passed the paper sif, but I always look positively at things. What is the best preparation I can do for the fitness test. I am pretty good with pushing and pulling weights, my upper body strength is good. It's the beep test I have concerns about. Someone said jogging for 20 minutes 3 times a week would prepare me, but that seems quite little. Thanks in advance

The main query I have is I am wondering how long it takes to hear back after sending an application for the specials in? I posted my application last Friday (27/03/15) and am just wondering what sort of waiting time I should prepare myself for? Any guidance or past experiences would be great to hear! Thanks in advance.
