Yaaaaaaaaaaaay finally got around to sending off my specials app yesterday not very interesting i know, but i worked hard on it and wanted to share.... anybody else on here applied recently or hoping to get into the next intake? and how active is this forum? sheesh it feels like aaaaaaaaaages since anybody has posted :lol: :D anything interesting happening lately?

New Special Constables start work Fri 23 Dec 2011 Nineteen new Special Constables were sworn in recently at their Attestation ceremony at Dyfed Powys Police HQ in Carmarthen. After six months of training they are already on the streets assisting colleagues over the busy Christmas period. The volunteer officers are stationed throughout Dyfed Powys and will work a minimum of 16 hours a month, undertaking various duties in their communities. Just been up to HQ to assist with the new specials intake traffic assessment. All went well and we should see a group of around 20 specials attesting on the 17th Dec. Managed to ask a few where they are headed and it looks like Lllanelli will do well!

Hi....me again... just wondering but does anybody know if there is another intake of specials planned within the year, not including the June one? I know nobody probably knows atm, but im just trying to plan ahead and thank you in advance if you do happen to know

Also This should make the SC of DPP more professional and organised. There have been four roadshows over the past month or so, one in each division. The future looks good!

Hi guys.... My first problem is, that i live in south wales most of the time, however term time i live in Aberystwyth. Whilst i can return to Aberystwyth during holidays to carry out any duties, i would not be able to return to South Wales sufficiently during term time to attend any shifts. . Hi all, I just thought I'd post here that I had my assessment centre in the HQ on 12th March and found out a few days ago that I passed! They're going to inform me of when the next fitness test is, can't wait! If all things go well, I'm still not sure where I would prefer to be stationed, anyone got any tips on where is a great place to be stationed?
