Not sure if it's been posted anywhere else and i just happened to have missed it but the Norwegian capital has been hit by a bomb of some sort. BBC reporting a couple dead and a number injured at the moment. There is also talk of a man dressed in a police uniform shooting a couple of children/young people at a meeting of the young Labour Party. Volunteers from a mountain rescue team are searching Saddleworth Moor near Oldham for the remains of Keith Bennett, a victim of the Moors murders in the 1960s. I have always been an animal lover and support a number of charities which help animals in distress. I was saddened to hear a news report about a Fin Whale being washed up in the beach at Carlyon Bay in Cornwall. Vets from the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) said there was no hope of refloating the animal and as a result the whale was put down sadly. I found it very disappointing to see members of the public on the beach taking photographs next to the whale before it died. Military charity Help for Heroes has been criticised by some of the UK's worst-wounded troops for spending money on buildings rather than everyday care. They claim the recovery centres are not always available to veterans who have left the forces.
