http://publicintelli...s-hotel-guests/ I'd laugh it wasn't quite so sad. Using payphones, erm, because the hotel phone is a rip off Not providing residence or business details, because I don't want to wind up on yet another marketing database Using internet cafes, because the hotel internet is a rip off. Refusal of housekeeping facilities, I've done this as I'm sick of the room being reorganised every time, leave the damn chair where I left it perhaps? Extended stays with little baggage, clearly you're not allowed to leave on short notice trips. Use of cash for large transactions, because I got a much better rate when I booked cash ahead than using my debi…

Dozens of people have been queuing to withdraw money after a bank machine began dispensing extra cash. Strathclyde Police said they were alerted to the incident at the Bank of Scotland, on Stonelaw Road in Rutherglen, around Saturday lunchtime. Officers went to the scene and alerted the bank, who were able to switch off the machine remotely. The Bank of Scotland said the branch would "contact any customers who have been affected". http://www.bbc.co.uk...w-west-20377784 I think these people are stupid. The bank don't let it go - if you're with the bank that own the machine, you're going to get a nice surprise in a couple of weeks when they catch up with you! Is it c…

The parents of the woman who died after being refused an abortion in a Galway hospital have blamed Ireland's abortion laws for her death. Their accusation comes as a legal expert in Ireland said it would have been lawful to offer Savita Halappanavar a termination that she and her husband believed would have saved her life. Protests over her death and the near-total ban on abortion in Ireland are growing with demonstrations taking place on Thursday night in Belfast and on Friday in Derry, and a major pro choice rally is being organised for Dublin on Saturday, with more than 3,000 people already have joined a Facebook page saying they will take part. Halapanavar's mother…

http://www.bbc.co.uk...europe-20270325 The Norwegian convicted of the massacre of 77 people last year has said he is being held in "inhumane" conditions. Anders Behring Breivik complained in a letter to the prison service that his coffee is served cold, he does not have enough butter for his bread, and he is not allowed moisturiser. Breivik is serving a minimum 21-year sentence for the bombings and shootings in Oslo and Utoeya island last July. The Norwegian authorities have not commented on the letter. However his lawyer has confirmed that the details of the 27-page document leaked to Norway's VG newspaper are authentic. Anders Breivik Breivik is being held in a…
