I am just wondering what kind of paper you have to fill out? So once a job has been completed, do you have to fill out paper work for EVERYTHING? False calls.. Disturbance in the street? Ect Ect Basically, if you fart do you have to note it?

Has anyone here ever gone on any courses or similar to improve their skill at selection boards (whether for specialist posting etc or promotion)? I'm aware of 2 companies which do it, ISP and ranksuccess, but was wondering if there are any others and whether anyone has been on either the ISP or the ranksuccess courses and has any feedback? I'm keen to improve at them before the promotion boards come up in my force shortly!

You attend a domestic incident between a male and a female. A male at the house states that he wants to leave. There are no offences. He states that he owns an Xbox and various DVD's etc. that he says he owns however has no 'proof', as in receipts, that they belong to him as they were bought off of eBay / car boots. The female states that if he leaves her he leaves everything else which includes the Xbox and DVD's. With this in mind how would you determine whether or not they belong to him or not, thereby proving a theft is she does not allow him to take them? Would you say that this is a civil matter? If you give that advice what can you give? Go and see a solicitor? …

Folks Ive been asked to do some digging to establish which forces around the country allow Specials to attend training/courses which qualify them for the following: PSU (Riot) training Standard (Response) driving PEACE Interview training Id be grateful if you could state which force you belong to and which training areas they currently let Specials train in. Anyone had a speeding ticket off duty??...happened to a colleague and he has to write a letter of apology to the borough commander! Apparently our Fed Rep says that if you get summonsed for excess speed, say + 110mph instead of an FPN on the motorway, you should expect to lose your job!...

Hello everyone, Just a query, Why aren't most officers trained to use dogs as standard or more common? Is it just a training or logistical problems? Iv always thought if people wanted to join the dog unit, it should perhaps be made more available and easier perhaps by increasing the ammount of trained officers in this aspect.

Given that the use of battenburg on marked police vehicles is so widespread now, why is it that for most of their vehicles, the Metropolitan Police still have the old-style "Jam Sandwich" red stripe on the side instead? Any ideas?

Hey all, Question after watching coppers on ch4, Why do some/most respond with rear reds on with the blues, not just on the TV programme but Ive seen it often? i was under the impression reds were used on scene or while stationary? Cheers Dale

Has anyone had the experience of been asked the question, along the lines of "Are you stop&searching/PNCing/arresting/taking my alcohol etc etc, becasue i am Black/Homosexual/Polish etc etc?". I had the recent experience of been asked this question after a stop and account/PNC job. The vehicle had blacked/smoked out windows however, so i i didn't know my fellow was actually Black (self defined by him and me defining myself as White) until he got out and asked.
