Just a query. Unless it's operational information, (I don't think so), how do you do a court print in PNC? I couldn't figure out how to do it today and none of the skippers seemed to know either. Cheers.

So, watching 'Coppers' last night with the canines and I am just wondering; 'what happens when a Police dog gets injured by a suspect when the handler is trying to arrest them?' Would it be the same as when an officer gets hurt i.e assaulting a police officer? or something else? I have never really thought about it before. Any help?

Now I have been to the Trafford Centre many many times and on each occasion I have seen lots women dressed in these If "covering the head is against centre policy" like they say then why is nothing mentioned about this? This is not about being racist or anything of the sort its just about fairness.

Which public order offences need a witness statement? If someone gives you an account of what happened however refused to give you personal details or a statement for offences such as an affray or S5 etc can you still arrest on the inital account? I understand that it probably isnt worth arresting as there will be no complainent as such. Also if you hear someone shouting and swearing in the street which you feel amounts to a S5, or fighting in the street which amounts to an affray, is your arrest statement good enough?

Ok so i was sat eating my lunch reading the local paper when a letter to the editor caught my eye. This is what it said: Quite angry at his misguided view i wrote back saying this : Roger Westmoreland states that there are less terrorising methods of entry into suspected drug dealers' homes than breaking their doors down (Letters, March 6). Do/can normal officers on patrol, like beat bobbies pull a vehicle over for a traffic offence? I rarely have seen anyone been pulled over by a normal patrol car, in fact I rarely even see anyone pulled over by RPU (or even see them around). If the answer is that normal patrol cars don't pull people over, is it because they don't have the recording equipment? Also how many officers are usually in a RPU team?

So this thread title might be misleading, but read it as you will and add anything you might wish to. My tale is about misunderstanding however. Between attending patrols/hotspots etc, i managed to fit in an enquiry at a local school. The overall reason was in attempt to arrange a mediation session between 2 youths/families, along side parents and teaching staff. In the light of recent events, more specifically the incredibly tragic death of PC David Rathband (RIP). Do you ever worry about getting hurt on duty? As I'm awaiting my MSC training this summer, I've obviously had no experience or no idea what to expect, but I would be lying if I said that the inherent risks associated with the job didn't slightly worry me. (I did do a search, but nothing came up, really sorry if this topic has been covered, but I did look.)

What have those gone onto from leavibg the police?

Do Special Constables keep their entire uniform and any equipment at home, or must it be all kept at the Police station where the constable is based? If this is something that varies between forces, I'm specifically asking for Lancashire. Any answer would be appreciated though. Thanks.

Has anyone got any worthwhile tips on remembering names of roads and locations. I am having severe problems recalling names of roads - so when it comes to driving to a job, I have to rely heavily on my passenger for directions... I was trying to find information on how Taxi Drivers learned "The Knowledge" - although saying that, the taxi drivers in my area seem to be lacking the knowledge... Many thanks in advance!
