Can anyone tell me if as a firearms owner if my vehicle registration will be on a special data base? The reason I ask is that I was out last year well after the hours of darkness and had a call from the local station asking if I was in the area shooting Short of someone calling my plate number in I can't see how they would have known it was me. I learned today that Treason is a statutory offence, rather than common law as I'd expected. Incredibly, the current legislation is the Treason Act 1351! Now for the really unbelievable bit... The official version of the act is written in French (Norman French). What's more, according to Wikipedia a man was once hanged on the basis of a comma that was felt to be missing from the (French) text to broaden its meaning. So here's the current UK statute on Treason - surely this has got to be pretty much the only E&W statute that isn't written in English?

Hi everyone I have been accused by my partners ex of endangering her life and that of the children ? A screw has been found in her tyre wall and she assumes its either myself or my partner. Hello, I am writing because I don't know who else to contact about this. We are two girls living in a house share with one other housemate, a 30 yr old male who also happens to work for our landlord and has a good personal relationship with him. Hi. My question relates to an ex partner. I am currently going through the court process to increase contact to my son. There have been many problems between us which have involved the police. Over the last 20 months she has made around 8 complaints to the Police claiming I have harassed her. No action has been taken other then police calls/visits as there is no proof. For my part I have not been able to report harassment from her(easy to prove) plus physical assaults(some proof) as it would make contact to my son even harder. There is a vehicle (which I think) is operating as an RRV for an private blood running service. It has a blue light affixed to a roof bar on top of it. It has no further markings. It has paid full road tax. Have any laws been broken when it is "on a call" with blue lights flashing??

I'm rather confused about the current state of SORNing a vehicle. This link is about as clear as mud. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/UntaxedVehicle/DG_4022058 Since the law has changed you how have to have a vehicle insured even if it is off the road unless it is SORNed it would seem. On the direct gov website it does say you should SORN a vehicle under those circumstances. However if the vehicle has a current tax disc you can't SORN it. Where does one stand on having a vehicle with no insurance but a current tax disc off the road? Cheers.

I need some help guys. My partner has been going through a somewhat difficult divorce which has now turned into downright nasty and false allegations being made against him of abuse against one of his young daughters. For the past 3 years I have owned one of these Swiss Army Rescue Tool Knifes, and although I have not had to use it in a rescue it comes in handy as a swiss army knife when camping and outdoors. One question that a friend recently mentioned is it legal to carry one of these in your car or person as the blade is locked into position when in use ? The knife blade has a locking facility but can be folded away easily, the locking facility is to prevent the blade coming back on the holder whilst cutting. Any thoughts on possession and carrying one of these on your person or vehicle. Thanks in advance. C.

I can't remember the definition of dangerous driving, but is: Driving in a competitive mannor, Speeding and Causing fear of injury to someone Amount to dangerous driving? Also, as this person caused an injury RTC I can't give him points on his licence, so I assume I will have to report him for summons?

I've had my head in the books and I am aware that if you arrest a person you can take them to a Non Designated Police Station if their detention is to be less then six hours. I am aware the arresting officer can perform the role of the Custody Officer as long as no one else is available. Its not clear in PACE as to the procedures and powers once the person is being dealt with. I take it any interview has to be tape recorded? Does a custody record have to be completed and if so by whom? As it will be a Constable as Custody Officer do they have the same powers to bail (s47 etc)? If not I take it powers under s30a apply?
