should be nice and simple: Mr Boy Racer driving his 0.000001 litre car thinking he is amazing, drving in a dangerous manner. You stop him for the manner of his driving. Can you issue EFPN or report for the driving AND issue or a section 59 warning (if he hasn't had one before)? Or is it either or? Say if he had a section 59 warning already, you could seize car and report for the offence? thanks

Hi guys, I'm relatively new to this so please bear with me if a topic similar to this has been covered before. I am a currently training to become a special in Leicester and would like to put a scenario to you guys to see what action, if any, you feel would be necessary. If you observed some students chucking water balloons at passers-by from a fourth floor, and witnessed people getting hit by them and obviously then becoming wet and irritated, what action, if any, would you take while on duty, and what would you do if off duty? My feeling was that were I on duty I would go and have a word surely soaking someone in the street is a public order offence as it causes the…

Came across this video on Youtube you have probably seen it before but being a biker I was pretty shocked/angered at what happened in the video and wanted to get peoples views, serving contables and civis on what you would do; 1. If your a biker and it happens to you when your on a Sunday raz. 2. If your a car driver (according to drivers side of story). 3. If your in the position of the copper. what would your actions be (if different) and your views on the truth of the stories of both parties. feel free to answer one or more. This is a real life scenario filmed and probably shown on some cop show, your guess is as good as mine to which one. My views 1. Pull o…

One of my best friends is a little promiscuous to say the least. She likes to lead guys on, overly flirt with them and send them "pictures" of her in compromising positions, for their personal pleasure, then gets cold feet, tells them she just wants to be friends and moves on to someone else. One of the lads who she sent the photos to has taken it upon himself to create a fake Facebook account and upload the photos for all to see, adding all of her friends and family. The guy is 18, the girl is 19. The photos are full on nudity. What, if any, offences has the guy committed?

Today I saw a car reverse into a stationary vehicle, the owner got out, inspected both vehicles, took a picture of the other vehicle and drove off. I went out and had a look at the vehicle that had been hit, and no damage had been caused, has an offence occured?

A friend of mine is in this situation; He has recently bought a new house in an ok area just outside Glasgow, like any other area though it has its issues, usually with boozed up neds at weekends. He was working at arecent football match and observed by a certain NED and was recognised as 'that guy thats moved into our estate' His predicament has led him to having his lounge window smashed and his car tyres slashed, twice now, he feels calling the local cops as possibly making the situation worse so any suggestions as to a possible resolution? (insert standard disclaimer her) lol!

Ok. So lets say you are on duty, and somebody comes up to you and puts their arm round you. You ask them nicely to remove their arm which they then do, but they then start touching the kit on your belt. You ask them to kindly stop touching you/your kit, and they say 'Or what?' So..what could one actually do? Anything? Any offenses?

Hi All, Currently awaiting training as a special. I am an operations manager managing a large vehicle operation. Drivers are trained and enforced by potential disciplinary action on road traffic laws. Potentially we could have problems with the use of mobile phones while driving and the wearing of seatbelts. Myself and my team regularly carry out gate checks and checks out on the road to ensure the safety of our workers and the public around them. If one of my drivers is witnessed breaking the law he will be subject to an investigation and if proven a disciplinary with potential dismissal. Question is: If I witness, off-duty, one of my drivers breaking the law whilst …

I've just been doing my homework about stop and search, when my brother came home, who is in a wheelchair...jokingly I said to my mum about searching him, but it got me thinking. If you are walking down the street and you see someone walking towards you with a person in a wheelchair, you've seen them looking suspiciously into car windows, walking pass slowly, stopping and looking in the windows etc. You have the grounds to search the carer, and you do so...but what about the person in the wheelchair? They have severe learning disabilities and are unable to talk. Thanks Edit - Rather bad spelling xD

Afternoon all! I was sitting in the pub yesterday and what i can only presume was a Sikh walked past the window with a sheathed sword/kinife in his belt. Now i remember from my primary school days that this is one of the 5 'k's of the religion, however what is the legality of him carrying this within a public place? Does it make a difference that it is a religious article or that it is sheathed? I just thought to myself; if i was on duty what would i do? (probably nothing i will honestly say.) But what about if a member of the public called it in that someone was 'carrying a sword' and you were the responding officer and were confronted with the above situation? The …

Scenario: A 17 year old female has tried to gain access to a nightclub using someone elses ID which she aquired from a friend, bouncers have called you over to deal. My questions about the scenario: What offences if any has she commited? i would usually jump to fraud (False representation), however this offence is only appropriate to finacial gain and not for simply gaining access to a night club. Although i would not be looking to arrest her, giving strong words of advice such as "Do you realise your commiting Fraud which is an arrestable offence" would be appropriate, however i would like to be confident that she is actually commiting fraud. Many thanks please fe…
