Nottinghamshire Police cleared in Ratcliffe-on-Soar inquiry It was alleged police did not disclose all evidence from undercover officer Mark Kennedy A report into the collapsed prosecution of six protesters accused of trying to close a power station has cleared Nottinghamshire Police of misconduct. The Independent Police Complaints Commission said evidence from undercover police officer Mark Kennedy was not properly shared or recorded. But these "collective failings" in the prosecution case of the Ratcliffe-on-Soar protesters were not misconduct. The IPCC also found CPS lawyers signed off reports without reading them. They'll be able to release him again when he's 65, do you reckon he'll try for a hat-trick of life sentences? Just realised, this is probably best in 'Real World'. Sorry about that mods.

SPECIAL constables are to don their uniforms in their day jobs, in a drive to make the police more visible and to encourage more people to volunteer. Whilst not compulsory, the part time officers will be encouraged to wear their uniforms to and from their normal place of employment, college or university. This could mean that the officers will soon be serving customers in banks, driving buses, and performing life saving surgery, all whilst wearing their police uniforms. Nick Herbert, the Home Office minister responsible for policing, announced the plan at a recent Special Constabulary conference stating that Specials were a 'key link between the public and the police' an…
