http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-16825265 The gang members were shown two doors and told to choose. One led to the cells - and the other to freedom. But unlike the average criminal passing through Wood Green Crown Court, these youths were there voluntarily. Police had invited members of Enfield's Get Money Gang (GMG) to the court. Perhaps surprisingly, 10 - a third of those contacted - turned up. http://www.newstatesman.com/blogs/the-staggers/2012/02/police-crime-work-social Earlier this week a group of gang members were taken to Wood Green Crown court to hear some home truths. Ten boys, all under the age of 17, were brought into the dock. They giggled and…

Sikhs in Luton police station sit-down protest Members of the Sikh community are holding a sit-down protest outside Buxton Road police station in Luton. A police spokesman said the protesters had concerns after a report that a young woman from their community was sexually assaulted on Monday. The allegation is being investigated by Bedfordshire Police and a man has been arrested in connection with the inquiry, which is continuing. Police are trying to resolve the situation with community leaders.

I wonder if Police would get away with it. I have my doubts.

Yesterday i went to football match between West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle , a DRAW?! We should have won! (being a west brom fan)... anyway when travelling back home i heard from a friend they couldnt get home past birmingham city centre because the police wouldn't let them through, initially i thought this was to do with rival fans but apparently not. Here's what i fished out from Birmingham Mail website. http://www.birminghammail.net/news/top-sto...66331-24352163/ RIOT police made 33 arrests tonight as they fought running battles with rival protesters as racial tensions spilled over on the streets of Birmingham. Two people were injured as violence broke out in th…

http://www.bbc.co.uk...-herts-18260017 Hundreds of members of the Sikh community have staged a sit-down protest outside Buxton Road police station in Luton. Understandable the community is upset, but how does sitting in front of police station help matters? Police cannot do any more then arrest a person who may or may not be guilty of the crime. You may all go home now, police are on the case and are dealing, interfering in the matter helps no one.

Quite the error there! I can certainly imagine a lot of Camberely in uproar after reading such a tweet! Quite a funny story for me as it's quite a close town to where I abide. Definitely made me chuckle. The story can be found here: http://www.telegraph...lane-crash.html

Mayor Boris Johnson to review police anti-racism measures London mayor Boris Johnson and Met Commissioner Bernard Hogan-Howe are launching the review London mayor Boris Johnson has ordered a review of anti-racism reforms within the Metropolitan Police. It will look at measures put in place as a result of the race and faith inquiry - set up by the mayor in 2008. Changes under scrutiny include opening top positions to people of diverse backgrounds, even when they have not worked as constables. The review, to be launched with Met Commissioner Bernard Hogan-Howe, will report back in the Autumn of 2012. It will also consider a recommendation made by the original inquir…
