Whilst I an no fan of this particular person, in the interest of fairness, I don't think it's right to namehim at this time as the person whose home is being searched by police, whether he is in this country or elsewhere. In the event of the search and other investigations being NFA'd as is said 'mud sticks' and the poor guy will have to live with people's views and opinions regardless of the outcome.

I'm sure that most of us have read news stories about the UN declaration that Assange has been unlawfully detained by the UK. I can't see how they have reached that opinion given that he went through the UK legal system and exhausted every avenue of appeal before jumping bail and voluntarily going to the Ecuadoran embassy and asking for asylum where he has spent the last three years. Assange spent years appealing the decision to extradite him, he jumped bail and he has stayed in the embassy yet its the UK which has unlawfully detained him!

It was just after 8am on 6 November 2014 when Faiza Hassan Ahmed knocked on her neighbour’s door. Violet Nantayiro did not know her, but Faiza was obviously distressed. She let her in and tried to comfort her. Faiza said a man had attempted to rape her, and asked Nantayiro if she would ring the police on her behalf. http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/feb/06/faiza-ahmed-cries-for-help-missed-every-authority-simon-hattenstone?CMP=fb_gu Interesting article about the failings of London Ambulance Service, the Metropolitan Police and Department of Work and Pensions (not my criticism, this was the conclusion from the coroner), but also a 'there but t…
