The Metropolitan Police said video footage on YouTube which appears to show an officer hitting a woman during the G20 protests would be examined. BBC News Video Link The footage shows the woman swearing at a police officer who then appears to hit her in the face on 1 April. The officer also apparently strikes the woman on the leg with his baton. G20 death was not heart attack A new post mortem says Ian Tomlinson died from an abdominal haemorrhage not a heart attack after contact with police during the G20 protests. The statement from the City of London Coroners Court overturns the initial assessment that the newspaper seller died of natural causes. Mr Tomlinson was hit and pushed over by a police officer on 1 April. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is investigating Mr Tomlinson's death. A Sussex Police officer has been arrested on suspicion of money-laundering and drugs offences and suspended from his post. The arrest followed the seizure of 3kg (6.6lb) of cocaine during a drugs raid, a police spokesman said. The force confirmed the officer, who has not been named, was bailed without charge, pending further inquiries.
