http://www.terrorismstudies.com/content/ts...CFQiF3god3SEqZw If it’s part of your responsibility to protect people, infrastructure, supply chains or your organisation and its operations, then knowing how and why terrorists plot against civilians, governments, corporations, transport or IT networks makes an unmistakable difference to your counter terrorism and security strategies. I cannot see the Police recognizing this, but i maybe wrong. :smiley_notworthy: :smiley_notworthy:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7990013.stm There has been a "phenomenal" increase in the number of incidents in which aircraft are targeted by small hand-held lasers, according to UK police. The stupid things people get up to. I blame the lack of good TV programs.

A police force and one of its armed officers are being prosecuted after a civilian employee was shot during a firearms training session. Keith Tilbury was shot in the stomach at the police headquarters in Kidlington, Oxfordshire in May 2007. The officer responsible and the Chief Constable of Thames Valley Police are accused of breaching health and safety laws. Pc David Micklethwaite was suspended from duty during an investigation. A spokesman for the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), which investigates accidents and deaths at work, said: "The HSE is prosecuting Thames Valley Police and Pc David Micklethwaite over alleged breaches of health and safety law. Why arn't the police officers in the video of Mr Tomlinson being attacked coming forward to help the IPCC? After all if they've got nothing to hide, what are they worried about? I was watching Sky News and there's talk of an attempted cover up. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7990423.stm Please not this thread is not about that event but the failure of the police officers involved to respond. It is therefore not the same issue as the other thread.

http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/E...115256232?f=rss Two children aged 10 and 11 remain in custody after a boy was left with life-threatening head injuries and another was slashed with a knife. Probably best not to comment, as it is an on-going inquiry but i believe this is a story that will run and run.

I must admit I found the sight of the police completely pumped up with rage flying into people with batons very disturbing. I know it could be a stressful situation at times but I would've thought the first thing they teach someone in "crowd control class" is to control their temper. The man who died during last week's G20 protests was "assaulted" by riot police shortly before he suffered a heart attack, according to witness statements received by the Independent Police Complaints Commission. Investigators are examining a series of corroborative accounts that allege Ian Tomlinson, 47, was a victim of police violence in the moments before he collapsed near the Bank of E…

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandtechn...for-a-year.html Details of every email sent and website visited by people in Britain are to be stored for use by the state from tomorrow as part of what campaigners claim is a massive assault on privacy. What does this mean for you? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandtechn...an-for-you.html Kenworthy wrote this, and your welcome to come after me for doing so. :clapping:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/apr/07/v...-police-assault This is unacceptable no? Kettling and an assault lead to this mans death- a bystander returning home after his days work. IPCC investigation needed. This is a sad day for liberty.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics...dge-Tories.html Police will be banned from keeping the DNA profiles of innocent people under plans announced by the Conservatives today. Until they get in? Then they might change their minds, as in often the case. I have NP with Police keeping my DNA, might save me at some point from being a part of their inquires.

Police shoot at bank robbers' car A police officer has fired shots at the getaway car of a gang of bank robbers after one of them pointed a gun at him. Police said the car sped off from Market Street, in Droylsden, Greater Manchester, and it was not known if the robbers had been hurt in the shooting. Customers and staff at two banks were threatened in robberies, which happened at about 1650 GMT on Friday. Police said the gang had escaped with a large amount of cash from the Cheshire Building Society and Halifax bank. The gang left in a silver Honda Civic, with false registration plates AD51 FVL. Police said the car had been stolen from Droylsden a week ago. …

A senior British judge has accused the European Court of Human Rights of going beyond its jurisdiction and trying to create a "federal law of Europe". Lord Hoffmann, the second most senior Law Lord, said the Strasbourg court had imposed "uniform rules" on states. The judge said rulings that had gone against domestic decisions were "teaching grandmothers to suck eggs". He said he supported the European Convention on Human Rights but not the institution that applies the law. In a lecture to fellow judges, published this week, Lord Hoffmann said the European Court in Strasbourg had been unable to resist the temptation to "aggrandise its jurisdiction" by laying down a "fe…
