More failings found, the Police and Social Services are getting a tough time out of this case, and maybe rightly so however what people must realise is nobody is to blame for this child death other than the B*****DS who caused him his injuries and then failed to do nothing about it..........May they rot in hell.

Terror probe police study images Police scouring homes for evidence of a planned terror attack in the Manchester area are studying photographs found at one location, the BBC has learned. Senior officers described claims that shopping centres and a nightclub were among potential targets as speculation. Twelve men - 11 of them Pakistani and most of them students - are still being questioned over the alleged plot. Gordon Brown has said Pakistan must do more to stop terrorism. Pakistan says student visa checks are up to the UK. Police arrested the 12 suspects during a series of raids in Manchester, Liverpool and Clitheroe in Lancashire. The planned operation had to …

Police mistakes meant a chance to charge Baby P's mother with assaulting him was missed several weeks before his death, an unpublished report says. Delays securing an independent medical opinion meant the six-month legal deadline passed within which to charge the mother with common assault. The report into what happened to Baby P before his death in August 2007 found several police errors. The Metropolitan Police said it could not comment for legal reasons. Lynne Featherstone, Liberal Democrat MP for Hornsey and Wood Green, said there had been a "monumental failing" by the police. The toddler was first taken to Whittington Hospital with extensive bruising in Dec…

Just wandered what you're thought on Bob Quick's resignation? Watching the news they spoke about the huge impact in terms of 11 years until his pension and what a big step it was. Based purely on what is known in the public domain, ie he stepped out of the car with the paper exposed, should Bob have resigned?

Bottle killing youth sent to jail Neil McNulty Neil McNulty was out celebrating his birthday on the night of the incident A teenager who killed a mother-of-three when he threw a bottle into a pub has been jailed for four-and-a-half years. Neil McNulty, 19, from Heywood, was refused entry by door staff and hurled the bottle through the door of the Queen Anne pub. In an "incredible mishap", a shard of glass flew into the neck of 27-year-old barmaid Emma O'Kane, and she bled to death, Manchester Crown Court heard. McNulty, of Peel Lane, admitted manslaughter at an earlier hearing. Judge Michael Henshell told McNulty he would live with the pain of what he did for the r…

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/7990237.stm A leading Church of England bishop who is to resign after 15 years in the post said he has no regrets about controversial statements he has made. Not really a Police story as such, but, the police know what really goes on on the ground. So is there any truth to the statement "some areas of the UK had become no-go areas for non-Muslims because of Islamic extremism." and ""extreme forces" presented a grave threat to Britain's way of life and culture." ?

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/21/20090409/tuk-t...er-6323e80.html Personally I think this is outrageous, frightening and sad. For someone to be that senior to make numerous mistakes and still hold the position (until now) is for me outrageous. Its frightening he simply felt it was ok to wander out of his car to 10 Downing Street like a kid holding homework. I thought I would open this up to the forum to see how people view this blunder. Apologies if its already a thread somewhere I have not seen! Y

The Home Secretary is to pay back parliamentary allowances claimed for pay-per-view television services, reportedly including two adult films. Jacqui Smith said she "mistakenly" claimed for the TV package while billing for an internet connection. The Sunday Express claims the £67 Virgin Media bill included two 18-rated features viewed last April. Ms Smith was not home when the films were viewed, sources told the BBC. She lives with her husband, Richard Timney. The Home Secretary is already under investigation by the parliamentary commissioner for standards over her use of the second homes allowance. 'Ear-bashing' BBC political correspondent, Gary O'Donoghue, said a…
