hi just heard today that i didnt pass my interview for northumbria today, ive asked for feedback asap and im intending to take 6 months to tighten things up and re-apply but I was just wondering if anyone would be up for giving me some mentoring support cheers Neil

Are there any specials currently serving at Newcastle Airport, and if not why not. I'm in the re-joining process at Norpol as a special after a hiatus and would be quite interested in working within a different environment.

Hi All Do stations have their own responsibilities or do they all share the fun? for example, would it only be sunderland central officers in town on a friday night or would officers from other stations be there also?

Hi all Appologies if this has been covered but i have been wondering , It has come to light that the new recruitment procedure may be changing in to the mets new method of internal recruitment from specials and pcso's , If you leave the home office specials and join btp by doing so do you leave the force as such and not qualify for the internal draft when and if it ever comes up ? or would they class btp as an internal applicant ? cheers P

Hello My application has failed at the final stage during the pre-employment checks. I'm really gutted after waiting ten months and putting in so much effort. Does anyone know if you can appeal? I've asked for feedback on the reasons.

My link This is good going for the area command specials and if they are dealing with 102 (approximately) jobs each in that period very well done in deed - their hours must be through the roof and their qd screens must be huge! They are also up on jobs from the last article which detailed 1900 jobs in a 9 month period. But can someone please advise me why the commandant is singing the praises of this area command and not the rest of us who do the same job, if not a bit more? Also on the commandant bit - I thought this role didn't exist anymore? Do we have any clarification on this?

So where has everyone gone? Some only come out to bitch and fight but others try and give good information about the specials would anybody like to say either by pm or in public who they are and where they work. Come on!!

Well I think that I am going to be sore tomorrow been self defence training today. Do we always get put through so much pain in these sessions? Or is it me just being a whimp? Seems to go into more detail than the initial training at HQ at least thing time we didn't get sprayed thank god!
