Hi everyone, I'v had a letter through the door today saying that the police are unable too proceed with my application due too failing the vetting proccess. I am absolutely GUTTED!!I was hoping too get in the regulars after a some experience as a special so my career plans have gone down the drain and i will have too have a re think as I can't see my circumstances changing in the future so it seems i won't be having the career in the police I have been working towards.I have no criminal record at all and as far as i knew my family and partner have no major criminal convictions or such like but there's obviously some reason and i trust vetting on their decision. Police were called to a house in Cleveland Road at 0347 GMT on Thursday after a resident was woken up by a noise in his home. I would like to inform all norpol SC's that on Friday night just gone I had yet another issue with the use of pool radios. At the start of my shift booked onto my pool radio! Later..... ...Got into a foot chase with a shouted up to the control room that I had a runner and was ignored by the operator not once but TWICE!!! they kept cutting me off. trying to pass rubbish jobs to the cops on the shift due to the fact this I activated my radio alarm to enure that my transmitions got through, which they did but the control room had NO idea who had activated thier ALARM, this time it was not that i was getting my head kicked in or somthing like that but it may be next time…

I would just like to say Thank You to all the officers that attended this parade, all looked very smart. I think that the day went with out a hitch well almost, only one RTC where a car knocked the wall down at the back of the cenotaph, but we still manged to get it all cleared up by the time the parade started! WELL DONE AND THANK YOU

Plans for a £37m, 50-cell police station which will replace two old buildings have been approved. Northumbria Police has paid £5.5m for a site on Forth Bank in Newcastle city centre for the new development. The authority plans to close the 1930s Pilgrim Street and 1960s Market Street stations and bring officers together on one site. The existing Kings House building at Forth Bank will be restored and the station is due to open in 2013.
