Hi, I previously passed an immigration enforcement officer interview but was put on the reserve list. :new_doh2: No I have been invited to an interview for the same role just in a different part of the country. For both roles I used the same competencies in my applications. I am aware that the home office competency scoring system is 1-5 I scored 3s in all competencies for the first application but this time round I scored 4 points on 2 competencies and 3 points on the other 2 competencies. So a bit of improvement on the application. However I DID NOT score high enough the first time round once I attended interview with capita/Border force panel. So I was put on t…

Went on my ELS/OST training recently and they told us about Hatzola, the Jewish ambulance service. They have around 3 ambulances and operate in the areas with large Jewish communities (mainly Worth and West London), with an ETA of 3 minutes for most calls! The Jewish community pay into this service and then are given a phone number to call when they are required. Apparently they work alongside the NHS and the Met, but I had never even heard of them. Has anyone had any dealings with them, either on or off duty? Just curious to know how they work and how useful they actually are.

Is there a generic rank structure for ambulance personnel? I've often seen ambulance staff with insignia on their shoulder, but what does this actually equate to? Does it simply denote an administrative role? Experience?

Do they operate 24/7 now with a car during the nights?

The following is a list of "Other Emergency Services" in the UK. Although you can easily attain these from a search engine, I thought we could have our very own directory on PS.com! I have merely done this to get the new section of the forum underway a bit more, so please could we refrain from Chit-Chat, and only contribute if you have any more links to "Other Emergency Services." Thank you. Was wtaching Gibraltar on C5 yesterday which featured the hospital and ambulance service. An i right in saying they dont have the NHS as we know it? Also they dont seem to have any paramedics, only EMTs?

I see a number of UK security firms using red flashing lights on cars and motorcycles. Are they allowed these? Red is used in a lot of countries for emergency vehicles but I thought in the UK it can only be used as rear facing lights on certain vehicles other than emergency units.

Following is a video on youtube I found whilst procrastinating. From the series 'Police Interceptors'. Quite a funny ambulance walt who is well and truly busted. Although he doesn't get prosecuted for it, can you get prosecuted for impersonating a paramedic?

Hi all, Just thought I would post a link to a really interesting feed which shows the work of the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service: http://www.norfolkfireservice.gov.uk/nfrs/response/live-incident-feed It is really interesting to see the variety of calls that they attend. Do you think something similar could be rolled out to a police service? I understand that OPSEC would be a concern and that it has been trialed via Twitter by a few forces, but I am unaware of any type of live incident feed similar to this one. What do you think about live incident feeds?
