Hello, if a 999 caller requests multiple emergency services then how does the operator handle their request?

I was wondering what experience people have with regards to the paramedic interview and literecy/numeracy/highway test if you've done them I did the literecy and numerecy a few years and passed them, but failed horribly on the interviews at the time (thankfully ive improved.. ) I was wondering what experiences you've all had with the tests, or any good reading material on the role/job spec of the paramedic, and how were the tests As i've also applied for ECA (emergency care assistant), Are there interviews/tests for this role, it wasn't stated on the application and if so, are they any different?

I have noticed of late that there are a lot of old and badly maintained vehicles on the fleet. I have also noticed that there are a lot of new St John Ambulance vehicles which have been seen on priority runs. Other private ambulances have also been in abundance of late too. Am I missing something, or is Yorkshireland resigned to accepting this change in service provision permanently?

I know it dosent fall into the "Emergency Services" bracket, but I thought as a Law Enforcement agency this may be the best place to post it. Just curious as to how many BF/ICE officers there currrently are in PS.com.

Hi all. I just want to know what the views of the police regarding off duty medical professions (EMT,para,nurse,doc) stoping to assist at an RTC? For example if a police vehicle was on scene with no Ambo/fire on scene? Thanks

https://www.goodsamapp.org This is a nifty little app and plenty of people on here would be eligible to become responders. It basically locates the nearest person with life support skills and alerts them to nearby emergency within jogging distance. Of course, it relies on numbers (of both responders and patients/bystanders) to be effective, so sign up! Apparently the developers are in talks with ambulance control centres to lessen the need for a bystander to have the app.

Good evening everyone, Pleasure to meet you all I've joined primarily to seek some answers and guidance from people in the know. My first question is regarding the use of blue lights. I'm sure this topic has been done to death but unfortunately I cannot find the definitive answer to my specific enquiry. I work for a private company which works along side police and other agencies to find missing people. To my understanding, a vehicle that is used for mountain rescue purposes, can be registered as an emergency vehicle and thus fitted with blue lights and siren. Here comes the confusion, seeing as our role is search and rescue, does this mean we can use blue light…

Hi all Recently my interested has been peaked in Community First Responders. Though I've encountered a few through my work with St John's I'm still rather in the dark about what they do, so I have a couple of questions for those who know more than I. 1) What kind of incidents do CFRs respond to? I remember overhearing my supervisor talking about them and saying they deal with Red 1 & 2 calls, but do they respond to anything else? 2) Are you able to become one if you are a Special Constable? My current job leaves me with quite substantial amounts of free time, so I'd like to give some of it to SCAS as well as the police Thanks in advance

Being a Volunteer myself and with the traffic being chaotic at times, why are we not allowed some sort of light on our cars to help us get to either our Fire or Lifeboat stations as quickly as possible. . . . . . time saves life's!!!
