Heroin addicts are trying to burgle my house. What should I do? Should I get cctv installed? I don't want to involve the police just yet. They've already stolen 3 brand new pairs of nike and adidas tracksuit bottoms from the washing line.

Hi all New here and not sure if posting in correct place. My issue is that I failed vetting due to having an outstanding CCJ of around £300 - I paid it, and then sent my appeal in. With character references, financial evidence and a well written argument for my case. They say it takes around 28 working days, but I've been waiting around 50 days. Has it taken this long with anyone else?

I have an assignment and I cant find anything online. I am searching for a two separate lists or pie-charts displaying the reasons that police are called out (in the UK). for 999 and 101. ie: Street violence - 60% Robbery - 20% Domestic Violence - 10% Road Accidents - 10% (i made-up the figures above). but i wrote it so you know what type of thing I am searching for. Also: if you happen to be a policeman, then I would also really appreciate if you could give me an approximate break list and percentages (based on your personal experience) PS: i am not talking about Reasons that people call the police (ie: cat in tree). I am talking a…

Hello, Hopefully this gets to the attention of someone who could provide me with an answer.. I tried to post in the Cheshire Constabulary sub-forum but was greeted with a System Message - ‘You don’t have permission to create a new topic in this forum’. Could be a really simple fix I’m missing, do I need to pay a fee to post in there or is it a restriction set on my account? Hope it’s not the latter!! Thanks in advance, much appreciated.

I would appreciate any help this is making me ill with worry. My neighbours falsely reported me for swearing at their children because we complained about their noise months ago. I have since been interviewed under caution at the Police station, CDs made on her hearsay only. I certainly did not swear at anyone, she has a witness who says I did (surprise!) but my husband was at home and backs me with the truth. Why would I have to endure an under caution interview for such an allegation when her word against mine is all they have ? I have waited two days since the interview for the PC involved to get back to me - she stated after speaking to her sergeant she could hopefull…

Hi There! So would really appreciate some advice and this seems like a good place to ask, so i live in a private block of flats and because I'm a smoker (and the building is non-smoking) I go outside in the car park space, i'm allowed as it's private and i pay service charge every year to use it, however i seem to have been getting on my neighbours nerves a bit, their garden fence backs onto the car park, and for the last 10 months the tension has risen and the neighbours who are a group of students like to walk past and basically call me names and shout abuse, i think because it's a group of 5 big guys and a girl, one guy in particular is like the ringleader and he …

Hi all Quick question RE: Should I become a Special? https://police.community/index.php?/topic/119220-Should-I-become-a-Special%3F This has been locked? I'm not sure how on Earth this post relates to recruitment? The OP is clearly asking if there is any divide between Reg/SC in the home force. Has the policy changed regarding this now, too?

I think the TV programmes section needs an update. I think it's great having links to lots of old police tv shows, but a lot of these Youtube links are now dead. There also needs to be a generic chat thread for all the one offs. If needed, then a thread can be split to discuss a specific For example: The Trial: A Murder in the Family (recent 5 episode Ch4 documentary, currently available to download via All4) isn't included at all, but I find it difficult to believe that no-one on the site either watched it, or had any points to discuss regarding it especially as it was on across a number of evenings. The Met (BBC1) hasn't had a post since the new series…
