THREE White City thugs who beat a policeman unconscious after he tried to stop them attacking a young man, have been jailed. Wallflower Street residents Michael Luke, 28, Paul Luke, 30 and James King, 30, were sentenced to a total of three and a half years at Isleworth Crown Court last Friday (15) for attacking 27-year-old PC Sean Tucker. The vicious incident took place in the early hours of March 12, 2011, when police were called to Hemlock Road following reports of a man being chased by a group of youths armed with a knife. When they arrived they found one man being brutally targeted by a gang but when they tried to step in they too were attacked. …

Is anyone else a little worried about what's going on at Natwest? There have been articles in the news stating that companies that bank with Natwest are having difficulties paying their staff, and comments/postings from employees in that situation. I also hear that a significant proportion of the public sector uses Natwest for it's banking (including my force). I don't bank with Natwest, but do have my savings with them - so could have been stuck with no salary and no access to my savings. Thankfully after numerous attempts over the weekend I have finally managed to transfer some cash, which will cover me for my mortgage payment and about half of my direct debits! Fin…

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/jun/20/g4s-chief-mass-police-privatisation Investigating crimes and managing intelligence! You really want these people handling that sort of information?! Brilliant idea that. My favourite bit is the bit about the private sector not being driven by money... they're motivated by the same things that motivate us apparently. So they won't care if profits fall and the shareholders get cranky? And as to the £1.5bn deal... investigating crimes, detaining suspects, developing cases, responding to incidents, supporting victims and witnesses, managing high-risk people, managing intelligence, managing engagement with the public... Gee, that s…

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/defence/9337175/Soldiers-sacked-days-before-pension-date.html It's not only police officers who are having their pensions 'fiddled' with by HMG. You cannot get more devious than HMG sacking(because thats what it is, redundancy is just another word for the sack))these men just days before they were to get their pensions. No wonder MP's rate at the very bottom of the ladder. Pity MP's don't look after the Police and Armed Forces like they look after themselves.

I dont quite understand why she wasn't charged with impersonating a police officer as well, as she clearly profited from his belief that she was a genuine officer (although I'm not quite sure BTP would go for the whole neck tattoo thing !!) I do like the idea of fining people who waste my time £20 a pop intriguing though

Am I being cynical or has our PM attempted to make a scapegoat out of a popular entertainer who earns all his income from voluntary spending by the public, and coveniently avoided mentioning the same practices as carried out by senior politicians, business types and Tory party donors? Also - Now it is generally known that doctors will get £48,000 pension plus £200,000 lump sum, are HMG going to stop banging on about how generous and unaffordable our current scheme is?
