Source - http://www.policeora...sion_52238.html Good result, I was on that morning and it was a very well handled pursuit and as sad as it was that Jackie Stretton and a couple of officers were injured, it was lucky that it happened at the time it did so that more innocent members of the public weren't put at risk.

When observng in curt I often saw defence solicitors offer addiction as a mitigation. It should mean that offenders are forced to tackle the root cause of their offending.rather than being a mitigation.

Rochdale grooming gang leader gets 22 years The jailed leader of a Rochdale sex ring has received a further term of 22 years for 30 child rape charges. Shabir Ahmed, 59, of Oldham, was one of nine men convicted of sex offences against children at Liverpool Crown Court in May. He was not named at the time because he faced further charges, but was jailed for 19 years. Ahmed was convicted at Manchester Crown Court in June of raping and sexually abusing a girl for more than a decade. His sentence will run concurrently with the earlier one. http://www.bbc.co.uk...reland-19074681 The police are continuing to investigate reports of a mortar attack and a shot fired at one of its patrols in west Belfast on 27 July. On 30 July, police said they were investigating a report of a shot fired at a police vehicle on the Glen Road. The shot caused a minor dent to the Land Rover, but there was no scorch damage.
