A man has died after being arrested by police who used a Taser. Cumbria Police said officers were called to an address on Hartington Street in Barrow at 6.30pm on Tuesday following reports of a man causing a disturbance. A police spokesman said: "Neighbourhood police officers attended the scene and arrested a male on suspicion of causing criminal damage and, during the arrest, a Taser was deployed. "The man became unwell following the arrest and was taken to Furness General Hospital by officers. "At around 9pm the man, who was in his 20s and lived locally, was pronounced dead." The incident has been referred to the police watchdog. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/man-dies-…

Just thought I'd share this snippet from todays local paper: ARRESTS OVER THEFT Police were called to Busk Meadows, Shirecliffe, Sheffield to a report of a burglary in progress. They found sledgehammers had been used to smash a hole in a garage wall to remove mountain bikes. A man and woman were attested during the incident last Wednesday. Sorry for the lack of a linky, it didn't make the website. For those not in the local area, The Star is well known for being a 'proof-reader free' area.

Personally, I think this is typical of the DM, it'd be like arresting someone now and 60 years later "man dies, 60 years after contact with police"
