The UK must do more to stop online fraud and deter state-sponsored cyber-espionage or risk losing the fight against e-crime, MPs have warned. The Home Affairs Select Committee said much low-level internet-based financial crime was falling into a "black hole" and was not reported to the police. The MPs said more officers should be trained in digital crime detection and e-crime experts protected from cuts. The Home Office said the authorities must "keep pace" with criminals. Commander Adrian Hanstock was one of a number of people who intervened following the attempted robbery at Barclays Bank on Borough High Street on Thursday afternoon. Commander Hanstock had left the bank when moments later he was confronted with the fleeing suspect. At this point another member of the public had joined Commander Hanstock and the two gave chase. Not a million miles away from me. A speedy recovery.... A BUSY Hampshire road was completely closed for five and a half hours after a serious crash involving a police motorcyclist. The A337 was shut between Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst after the accident in which a 45-year-old male rider suffered serious but not life threatening injuries. The crash between the marked BMW motorcycle and a grey Volkswagen Caddy van happened at 12.30pm outside Clayhill House, just south of Lyndhurst.
