I read this on the internet today. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2...15875-20901519/ What utter tosh, has this reporter even re-read the article and thought about this before sending it to their editor. I am no Einstein but I expect that the 99.9% of calls were I immediate calls and the drivers were exempt from speed restrictions. I guarantee if the reporter was phoning in a burglary and the suspects were still in their house they would expect us to break the speed limit, as we are trained.

BBC News Report According to the BBC TVP are loosing less officers to the Met, which is great as it means more experienced officers staying with TVP. But the report then goes on to say that the are looking at restricting the number of officers that the Met are allowed to transfer in. Am i the only one that thinks this isn't on? I mean for some people the met is only a short distance away from where they live, and with such a large difference in pay and working conditions can anyone blame them for wanting to transfer over? At the moment the Met get around £4400 more a year, and their payments rise with inflation while the "South East Allowance" doesn't. Surely the an…

David Mullen, 22, might be regretting his catchy ringtone this morning as he starts an eleven month jail sentence. Arrested for assaulting a police offer and breaching his bail conditions, this offence gained him eight months. The further three months was for a breach of the peace after he had been arrested. He sat in the back of the police van and called the arresting officer ‘Ginger’ before proceeding to sing the theme tune of the ill-fated Spider Pig from The Simpsons Movie. Paul Ralph, who was defending Mullen, said: “He started the song and that was the origin of the joke, but things went further. He felt he had not done anything to be apprehended for.†Sou…

The blanket ban on handguns following the massacre of 16 children in Dunblane in 1996 means Britain has some of the toughest controls yet street gun crime has risen inexorably If you get shot today in London, Manchester or Liverpool, chances the weapon will be a converted handgun. The conviction of a 13 year-old boy in south London last week for possession of a converted Russian CS gas pistol, highlighted the pervasive use of these weapons and underlined the government's failure to check Britain's growing gun culture. In fact the Baikal IZH-79, has been used in several killings in London including the gruesome murder …

Oh dear! Unfortunate choice of name eh Randy Dan! I assume he's not being transferred as a form of punishment? Either way, I imagine this story will follow him around for a long time now that it's made national news!

Whilst browsing the internet I was horrified to read that a Scottish Judge (Sheriff) called Andrew Lothian was caught up in having sex with prostitutes in an Edinburgh Sauna according to the Scottish Sunday Mail Link here is someone sworn to uphold the law quiet clearly up to know good. What really disappointed me is the fact that a respected Judge in the Sheriff Court conducts himself in such a shameful manner, I am not saying what you do in your private life should not stay that way but when you judge the conduct of others you should hold higher values of conduct in public life. Judges and Sheriff's should set a good example and up hold the law in the same way that a…
