http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/c...icle6244005.ece Britain’s biggest police force has agreed to limit its use of controversial stop-and-search powers after critics claimed it was discriminating against minority groups. Maybe it is time for a new reason to stop and search. Call it Knife crime, i am guessing it will be the same sort of people getting stopped. I would have no problem getting searched, and all they find on me is a set of keys, and UKPO flyers. :smiley_notworthy: :smiley_notworthy: :smiley_notworthy:

"Police officers up and down the country put their lives on the line every day, never knowing what could happen. "Thankfully, few have had to make the ultimate sacrifice made by Sharon Beshenivsky. So true!!, May she rest in peace, as it is an ongoing case, best not to be discussed in depth!! :smiley_notworthy: :smiley_notworthy:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/norfolk/7964280.stm You'd expect this in a far east socialist dictatorship, not Europe. Just shows how far media fed hysteria has helped drive this tiny island into totalitarianism. A criminal gang could easily steal legal shotguns and rifles. Trying to justify this using that sorry old excuse really doesn't cut it. It's always been either "A criminal might steal it" or "You might get angry one day and shoot people, therefore we have to lock you up for a minimum of 5 years." Many people don't know that the rest of Europe has gun laws comparable to the United States, minus the constitutional right restricting the need to get a …

As everyone has heard, Swine Flu has been confirmed here in the UK. However, what measures are the Police taking (ie face masks, rubber gloves, hand gel etc)? If officers are using no protection from Swine Flu, do you think they should be? Officers in places like busy airports and train stations should be given and asked to use such protection? What are your thoughts and opinions?

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article6222312.ece It was Tony Blair who thought up the idea of on-the-spot fines for minor offences. The proposal, floated in June 2000, conjured up images of people being frogmarched to cash machines. But it was revived the next year by David Blunkett, then Home Secretary, and introduced in 2004. Only people who can really answer this are Police officers, so do On the spot fines work?
