North Wales Police's chief constable has warned he may take action against MPs on his patch if they had wrongly claimed expenses. Richard Brunstrom said recent revelations in the Daily Telegraph "warrant criminal investigation". North Wales has so far escaped the spotlight, but the police chief said the scandal "shocked him to the core". His comments came as he addressed a Rotary Club function in Rhyl, Denbighshire. It follows the public anger expressed over some MPs' questionable expenses claims. Mr Brunstrom, who is retiring in July, said he was considering asking the editor of the Daily Telegraph if he has any evidence of law-breaking involving MPs from north Wale…

Roads blocked by Tamil protesters http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8009150.stm Facinating listening to the criticism of police after 600 protesters blocked parliament square to protest re tamil tigers. MP's complaining the the police were not heavy enough, some stating that water cannon should have been deployed and protesters complaining the officers were far too heavy handed. Its nice to see that we are so highly skilled that we can do both at the same time and make everyone unhappy.

Its all over the news, most MPs have made us out to be fools. Sneaking money out in expences. Im having real difficulty in choosing who at the moment is best. I sometimes feel sorry for Gordon Brown he picked up the post in a period that the country took a massive downturn. I think Blair rode out the high and easy times, saw this and legged it. He has some good agendas but he isnt charismatic and cant pull a real smile even! Cameron I like and seems clear. I believe he has an easy time of just ripping into brown but I havent heard of any proposals from him I dont feel. They want to look at the multi pay deal which I now want left well alone. He did do well in making po…

There had been particular concerns about the impact on applications from Catholics. However, figures for the latest recruitment drive - which started four days before Constable Carroll was killed and continued until early last month - reveal that has not happen…
