Dying model 999 call The reason I took an interest in this was the fact the defendants mother, a Policewoman, is also in the dock accused of assisting her son by destroying evidence. I understand as an ongoing case it cannot be discussed but it raises the question of what would you do if a close member of your family became involved in crime. What would you do? I am awaiting final confirmation of my start date and friends and family have joked in the past about 'would you let me off speeding' or suchlike, and the answer has always been, honestly, no I wouldn't! If possible I would arrange for another officer to make the arrest, but I have always said I would never tu…

Police looking for cannabis farms mistakenly raided a second innocent person's home, it has emerged. Northumbria Police apologised on Friday after smashing down the door of a Newcastle lecturer, who was handcuffed and told to "shut his mouth". Now another resident, Jihane Graham, has come forward to say officers burst into her house at about the same time. A spokeswoman for the force said they had also apologised unreservedly for the latest mistake. Mrs Graham, who has a three-year-old son, said she tried to stop officers smashing down her door. She said: "I was screaming at them, saying 'I'll let you in', but they just bashed their way through. "About 10 of th…

A man has been charged with murder after the body of a school teaching assistant was found in a playing field. Sally Garwood's body was found by passers-by in a park in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire on Saturday afternoon. The 34-year-old, who lived in Aylesbury, had been walking her dogs, a Thames Valley Police spokesman said. Robert Cusworth, 24, also from Aylesbury, has been charged with murder and is expected before the town's magistrates' court on Monday. Police said the pair did not know each other. A post-mortem examination showed Ms Garwood died from stab wounds. Officers were called to the scene, near Meadowcroft, at 1538 BST by the South Central Ambulance…

http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/113413...ecruit-gypsies- POLICE forces across the country are being told to recruit gypsies in a plan that could put the public in danger, MPs warned last night. Thing about travellers is, they travel. Will the various Police forces then have to keep positions open, for when these new recruits wish to move on?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11...-walk-free.html The Attorney General has been asked to investigate the case of a rapist who was allowed to walk free from court with a community sentence - and allegedly struck again just days later. Always good to see our judicial system working well. "community sentence" how is that any sort of punishment for rape? "The judge, who cannot be named for legal reasons," Got anonymity too i see. Mate your an idiot.

Newly qualified as a firearms officer, Jamie Worth is called to a domestic disturbance. Events get out of hand, and he shoots and kills a teenaged girl who appears to have been unarmed. Already wracked with guilt, he is horrified when, with the media baying for blood, he is accused of murder. How can a cop survive in prison, when he suddenly finds himself on the wrong side of the law? And how can his wife Cath and ex-lover Anna come to terms with what has happened? From the author of THE TWILIGHT TIME, AFTER THE FIRE is a chilling glimpse of the flipside of life as a law enforcer Just saw this on Amazon.co.uk,sounds intresting, has anyone read it? Thoughts

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11...ences-here.html British taxpayers are to provide £1million for a comfortable jail in Nigeria to take convicts whose crimes were committed in the UK. Amazing, we cannot afford to build prisons here, but we can in Nigiria, will this be one of many more British outposts across the world?
