Amy Winehouse has been cleared of assaulting a dancer at a charity ball. Burlesque dancer Sherene Flash claimed the 25-year-old hit her forcefully in the right eye after she asked the singer for a photograph. The incident happened while backstage at the Prince's Trust Ball in Berkeley Square, central London, last September. But District Judge Timothy Workman, sitting at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court in London, dismissed the case against Winehouse. Delivering his verdict, the judge said: "Having heard the evidence from all the witnesses, I cannot be sure that this was not an accident. The charge is dismissed and the defendant discharged." The so-called 'cocaine torch' uses ultra-violet rays. Police in Lancashire say it lights up bright green if traces of the drug are found on people's faces. Man guilty of Beshenivsky murder Mustaf Jama's brother has already been convicted of murder A man has been found guilty of the murder of a policewoman during a bungled robbery in Bradford. Pc Sharon Beshenvisky, 38, was shot dead outside a travel agency in Morley Street in November 2005. Mustaf Jama, 29, has been convicted of her murder after a trial at Newcastle Crown Court. He had previously admitted a charge of robbery. The officer, who had three children and two stepchildren, was responding to an alarm call when she was killed. G*damn too right.
