http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8277886.stm I've posted this because I must be missing something in the story? Did this man not plead guilty to raping a child and then fled abroad to avoid punishment? I just don't understand why everyone is "rallying" round him strange.

TODAY is set to be an historic date in the history of Hampshire police as its 2,500 frontline officers move into a comfy new all-black uniform. From 7am, the white uniform shirt and tie will no longer be worn by any officer who is out policing the streets - just a handful of people with office-based jobs. Instead police officers will wear a cycling-style black top with a zip at the front which is designed to be more durable and wicks away sweat. New black poly-cotton trousers have also been bought in. The force has rolled out the new kit, which is easier to launder, after undergoing a trial run. --------------------------------------- Source:…

BBC Another tragic incident. Thoughts go to girls family. Can't help but wonder if there is more to this story, as I always believed speed alone cannot constitute careless driving without other factors- Anyone shed any light on this?

What a joke...once again the nanny state jumps in with two feet..this time against a police officer banned from looking after her colleague's toddler because she was'nt a registered childminder.. http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/news/article...es-toddler.html Hard enough for those with children in the job to cope with having a family but this is an absolute farce, with the result the two officers having to pay for childcare and re-arrange their shifts affecting colleagues as well...

An ex-cage fighter who was extradited from Morocco has pleaded guilty to three charges linked to the £53m Securitas robbery in Kent. Paul Allen helped plan Britain's biggest cash robbery and is facing a lengthy jail sentence for his role in the heist. He pleaded guilty at Woolwich Crown Court to charges of conspiracy to kidnap, conspiracy to rob and conspiracy. The 31-year-old fled to Morocco with fellow cage fighter Lee Murray after the £53m hold-up at the Securitas depot in Tonbridge on February 22, 2006. A violent thug who stamped and kicked a father of three to death is boasting about his 'cushy' life behind bars on Facebook. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12...l#ixzz0SQaRtbOr That will teach him. Has the fear of prison completely gone? The lack of freedom, the fear of being a bitch to a 7 foot giant who loves young men, the fear of having to place something nasty in one`s mouth. From his thoughts on Facebook, a stint in jail has taught him nothing, if anything he seems to have beaten the system.

http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/Case-d...iast.5679218.jp A PROSECUTION against a shooting enthusiast has been dropped after his solicitor argued the law had been misinterpreted. The Officer and the CPS thought this man was a danger. "He was then summonsed for shooting within 50ft of a road, contrary to the 1980 Highways Act." Not entirely sure why the Judge did not see it the same way. Just a thought, maybe one day this enthusiast will find a pigeon that shoots back.

VOLUNTEER police officers are set to lose a £1,500 annual payment in a move by chief officers to cut costs across the force. Currently, the 353 special constables working for Humberside Police are given the "bounty" every year as a goodwill gesture for their services. They must work 16 hours a month to qualify for the money. The removal of the bounty, which is paid by only three other forces nationally, would save more than £380,000 a year. The plans are part of a cost-cutting exercise being carried out across the force and are expected to be implemented by April. Superintendent Phil Davies, the project m…
