A 16-year-old girl and a 28-year-old man have been charged with public order offences after an incident near a fire-hit nightclub in Essex. Police attending the fire at The Sugar Hut club in Brentwood on Sunday were asked by staff at a nearby pub to deal with a disturbance. The man and the teenager have been bailed until later this month. A civil rights group has criticised the use of CS spray on a man at close quarters during the disturbance. An officer was filmed using CS spray on the man, who had blood on his face. Corinna Ferguson, from Liberty, said it was difficult to justify using a spray at close range. In the news today an 8 year old girl has sadly committed suicide at her home address, the news story also says that her 5 year old brother had been taken into care by the local services. Thanks for any response

Worst hit were the Yorkshire forces, with South Yorks & Humberside losing 148 & 133 officers respectively. North Yorks had the biggest pe…
