http://www.essex.police.uk/news/n_cont.php?articleId=4944 In line with popular public demand, Essex Police has increased its police officer numbers by more than 500 in the last five years. This takes the force’s current police officer strength to just over 3,600 officers. The numbers sound good to me, but i as a MOP have no idea if that is the numbers of new Officers the Essex Police were looking for. BTW, this cost cutting, what did they entail?

http://www.policeoracle.com/news/Brothers-...tml?category=41 A truly horrific story. My greatest sympathy goes to the victims family. Interestingly, they were not done for attempted murder, but GBH with intent.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics...e-officers.html Muslims, Jewish and Hindu crime victims could be given the right to request a police officer of their own religion under a scheme being trialled in the Sikh community. Rastafari religion, could be for me, then i get off smoking dodgy substances.

How awful, both for the family and friends of the two girls, and also for the Special involved.

HUMAN remains - believed to be that of three newborn babies hidden since the 1980s - have been discovered by police in a St Helens house. Officers made the grim find in the early hours of Sunday at the house in Harlow Close, Sutton Heath, following a tip-off. It is believed the babies could have been born as long ago as the mid-1980s. It is believed forensic tests are being carried out to determine the age and sex of the children. Police will also need to determine how the infants died. But the complex investigation could last…

http://www.dyfed-powys.police.uk/en/news/2009/9/4/ Thanks to the collaboration between Dyfed-Powys Police and the business community in Llandrindod Wells a prolific shoplifter has been banned from 20 stores in the town. Good idea, but would this then not mean, the Police handing over the conviction papers from the courts into the hands of MOP`s, like the shop owners?
