Anne Hart, 38, from Dundee, was found by police at the wheel of her BMW on 12 January. Ms Hart admitted being intoxicated and in charge of a vehicle. However, her solicitor successfully argued she had not intended to drive, and had placed the car keys on the passenger side floor as a precaution. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/south_y...ire/8483002.stm If they're daft enough to do it, are these people really going to heed a warning published by BBC News? I suppose the warning has to be given, as it will inevitably be the Police's fault if one of these fools die, and absoultely nothing to do with lack of parental responsibilty...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8476238.stm Alan Johnston: "The number one job of the government is to keep the public safe" The UK terror threat level is being raised from "substantial" to "severe", Home Secretary Alan Johnson has said. The new alert level means a terrorist attack is considered "highly likely". It had stood at substantial since July. It is in response to the perceived increased threat from international terrorism following the failed Detroit airliner bombing on Christmas Day. Mr Johnson stressed there was no intelligence to suggest a terrorist attack was imminent. The decision to raise the threat level was made by the UK's Joint Terrorism Analysis Ce…

Labour's open door immigration policy has turned Britain's jails into a 'United Nations of crime' - holding inmates from 160 countries. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12...l#ixzz0dmEh7Frf "There are only 192 member countries of the United Nations, meaning all bar 32 are represented in the British prison system." When will the justiciary be held to account for decisions such as this http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12...0-year-old.html How on earth was this **** bailed after such a horrific offence, and more to the point, when will judges start getting tough on the people who we work so bloody hard to put in the dock in the first place? Knife crime in the 60s in Glasgow was becoming an epidemic, with magistrates & sheriffs passing out soft sentences. One sheriff (can't remember the name) took it upon himself to start hammering offenders who came before him and before too long the message got out. Do we not have judges etc now of the same moral calibre to make a sta…
