Most police forces in England and Wales still unfairly target black and Asian people in their use of stop and search powers, the equality watchdog has said. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8567528.stm Just because this bunch say this is happening, does not mean it is true. They can attempt court, so many others have in the past and failed. In order to keep the figures in proportion, maybe the police should also stop 90 year old grannies who are in wheelchairs too.

I think that the CPS should Charge in all cases, this is part of the issue, i think positive action style policing rape like in domestic issues should be brought in. i think that there should Be centers to help with Rape victims but at the same time if to much of the focus is on the victim this may cut the convition rate even more this i think will be very sad to see Rapist walk free because all of the time and effort has go into the victim and not to Investigating the crime, but i agree that there is a balance and that has not yet been met which is just like labour all about targets and % shame ! the below link is to the full story on the BBC website http://news.bbc…

A man who raped an elderly woman in an attack of "unimaginable depravity" has been jailed for 12 years. Gillen, 52, admitted rape, robbery and two sexual assaults at Carlisle Crown Court. He was arrested after a seven-month investigation - Carlisle's biggest ever manhunt - which culminated in a television appeal on the BBC's Crimewatch, featuring CCTV images of Gillen. After the programme aired, officers received about 150 …
