England's Chief Schools Adjudicator, Ian Craig, also calls for councils to make random checks on 10% of applications to cut fraud. He estimates last year 4,200 fraudulent applications were made in England. "crooks will be held accountable for their crimes" - i have no idea what this means but it will be nice for the public to see what happens in magistrates courts. Probably wont have details of how many hours are wasted by police or how many times we bang our head against the wall.
