http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/5038427.Po...g_is_amputated/ A POLICE officer injured in a freak accident while on duty has launched a legal bid against a Hampshire hospital where he claims failures forced him to have his leg amputated. I have no problem in Police suing, why not, everyone else does. But can one see a time, when a Officer will sue a criminal for causing an injury or distress? Maybe it is time the Police fought back on this matter. A Officer sees a bike being stolen, he/she chases it down the road, the person stealing the bike drops it, monkeys over a wall, the Police officer follows, ripping his/her trousers, and has now a scratch on the knee, grabs the …

POLICE fighting antisocial behaviour in the south must spend more time on the beat, says Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Mr Brown said it was “unacceptable†that many forces – including Hampshire – had failed to live up to a promise to ensure neighbourhood police spent at least 80 per cent of their time on their patch. The commitment formed a “fundamental part†of the policing pledge to local communities, which came into effect for all forces last year. A report by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary last October found that Hampshire Constabulary’s performance in meeting the objective “falls short of the required standardâ€, adding that “reme…

Action will be taken to help any child found to be at risk of harm Scottish parents are to be given the right to learn whether people who have access to their children are convicted sex offenders. Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill said the scheme would allow parents to ask for background checks on anyone they may have concerns about. Police would then tell them whether the person in question had convictions for sex offences. A pilot of the scheme has been running in Tayside since September. Mr MacAskill said it would start to be rolled out nationwide by the end of the year, although Fife Constabulary and Central Scotland Police had already said…

Drivers who leave their car engines running while their car is parked face being fined as part of a new town hall initiative. North Lincolnshire Council will issue £20 tickets to ‘irresponsible drivers who are not considering the environment’. They say it will help reduce carbon dioxide emissions and tackle climate change. Fumes: Drivers who don't switch off engines will be fined to tackle climate change Other councils across Britain are also considering introducing similar laws after being set air quality targets by ministers in Whitehall. But angry motorists claim the ‘petty’ measure is simply a ‘money-making scam’. Nigel Humphries, a spokesman for …

Im just wondering what everyone else feels about the lowlife scum that is Jon Venables (new identity unknown)being recalled to prison for breach of his conditions? It makes me wonder what exactly he did, i feel so sorry for Jamie's mum, this must just be never ending for her and her family Should these evil boys have ever been released and given new identities? I believe they shouldn't, they were evil and knew exactly what they were doing all those years ago, for them to have been released without ever having served a single day in an adult prison is an outrage and no justice for the Bulger family. I personally hope they lock Venables up and throw away the key, what …

A scheme allowing parents to check if someone is a sex offender will be rolled out across England and Wales by March 2011, the Home Office says. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8546126.stm As long as system is not abused seems a fine idea. Why is it thou all schemes no matter how daft seem to be started in Scotland, the Poll tax comes to mind. If Scotland like it, then we all will.

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12...l#ixzz0gym0TPa5 I have said in the past, before anything will be done by this inept government, something big and nasty will have to happen, James Bulger was not big enough, i doubt this case will be either. I have no idea how far this pond life will be allowed to go, before we all say enough is enough. Outrageous behaviour, i do hope OUR Police catch this vermin and get them locked up for a very long time.

Eamonn Magee is a former WBU title holder Former world boxing champion Eamonn Magee has won an appeal against his conviction for head-butting a man in north Belfast.
