Police and court officers arrest a man during the operation. FINE dodgers in Newquay had an early call when police knocked at their front door with an ultimatum – pay up or get locked up. Does anyone know if there is a collection/similar been started for this officer? This could have been any of us, and whist there is the injuries board etc, he will need as much help as possible as his sight has been taken away from him. I don't know of financial fund that that we can add too. This shows what can happen without any warning being a police officer.

I'm supprised our resident news hounds failed to pick up on this one! good riddance to bad rubbish! A senior crown prosecutor who accepted a £20,000 bribe to drop a case has been jailed for four-and-a-half years. Sarfraz Ibrahim, 51, of Cyncoed, Cardiff, who worked for Gwent CPS, was caught in a police sting. He was jailed at Swansea Crown Court after previously admitting corruption, perverting the course of justice and misconduct in a public office. The judge told Ibrahim it was a "great" breach of trust and he was sure he was motivated by personal gain. The CPS is the body that reviews evidence gathered by police and then decides if cases should go to court. Ibra…

Just came across this story in work the yesterday : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8652861.stm (appologies if the link is posted incorrectly) To be honest im not quite sure what to make of this story. Kinda in the fence, as to if I beleive this is ethically right? I know this will provoke varied reactions just havent seen this in the forum yet. Could this law be used as a precedent for future cases/law in Britain? Ive just re-read this a realised it hasnt come into law yet, as awaiting on senate approval. Also quite shocked to see that no-one voted against this?
