http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics...y-is-a-sin.html By Heidi Blake Published: 1:05PM BST 02 May 2010 Dale McAlpine was charged with causing “harassment, alarm or distress†after a homosexual police community support officer (PCSO) overheard him reciting a number of “sins†referred to in the Bible, including blasphemy, drunkenness and same sex relationships. The 42-year-old Baptist, who has preached Christianity in Wokington, Cumbria for years, said he did not mention homosexuality while delivering a sermon from the top of a stepladder, but admitted telling a passing shopper that he believed it went against the word of God. Police officers are alleging …

A woman who dialled 999 to report the theft of a snowman from outside her home has been branded "completely irresponsible" by Kent Police. http://www.bbc.co.uk...d-kent-11908583 Besides being a waste of your precious time, what was the woman expecting if after a few days the Police found these criminals with evidence melted away? And even if the evidence is found, how would we know this Snowman ever belonged to her? Would it then take forensics to prove that this lump of snow fell on her patch? Lastly and most importantly, does this woman have to IQ points two rub together?

A police officer has been shot in an armed siege at a house in West Yorkshire where a gunman is hiding. Police say several shots have been fired in the incident in the Kirkheaton area of Huddersfield. The officer has been taken to hospital for a check up and his injuries are not believed to be serious. Assistant Chief Constable John Parkinson says officers are attempting to open a dialogue and are appealing to the gunman to give himself up. Police say the house is in an "isolated" position and they do not think other members of the public are at risk. The gunman is believed to be alone in the property. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bradford-west-yorkshire-120…

These shocking CCTV images show the moment a police officer shoved a grandmother and sprayed her in the face with CS gas. Debbie O’Reilly intervened after noticing her friend’s ex-partner being restrained by police outside a bar. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1342120/Grandmother-sues-police-7-000-sprayed-face-CS-gas.html#ixzz19bMLNqUS The headlines conjure up images of little old lady, no wheel chair, no walking stick, so i`m guessing little old grandma was about 45, no mention of her age, which is strange in itself. Pregnant at 14 child pregnant at 13 (inflation in these terms goes down) so maybe a 29 year old grandma. I thought in order to g…

English Defence League claim 78 got whiplash in crash... but only 25 were on coach Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1341692/English-Defence-League-claim-78-got-whiplash-crash--25-coach.html#ixzz19JgjNffD Almost 80 far-Right extremists are trying to claim for whiplash injuries after a coach crash – when there were only 25 people on board the vehicle and just 57 seats. I would find it hard to believe that even on an 80 seater, that all passengers were to suffer from the same injury, i mean you need to vary these problems.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-12076300 Police in West Yorkshire have revealed a list of "ridiculous" 999 calls which they say put lives at risk by diverting resources away from real emergencies. One person dialled 999 to report a packet of rice missing from a cupboard while another called for advice about a snoring dog. And one woman from West Yorkshire decided she needed police help when a black cat got into her house. A police spokesman said: "These calls are so ridiculous it's astonishing." The woman with the cat in her house spent almost two minutes telling a 999 operator she needed police assistance. Emergency operators …
