"It is not a great place to end your night out, and apart from anything else the food is shocking," said Assistant Chief Constable Terry Sweeney. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12005824 An ex-minister who had responsibility for drugs policy has called for all drugs to be legally available. Its interesting how many of those in charge have important things to say shortly after they become ex high ups, but never when they are in power. Speaking as someone who sees the sheer volume of crime created by drug users, dealers etc v the epic destruction that drugs can deal to a human body its a difficult problem. But making it illegal doesnt seem to be working, how much worse could it be to make it legal? Im sure tesco's value crack will still be better than the street version.

Detectives in Strathclyde have become the first in Britain to adopt the tactic as they live up to a pledge “to do everything possible within the law†to make life miserable for underworld figures. Officers are passing on confidential files on gangsters – whether they have been convicted or not – to stop their families cashing in if they die in one of Scotland’s turf…

Not from the greatest sources of news, but thoughts? A Cop who guards Prince Charles rings for back-up as he pins a terrified driver to the ground — his knee in the young dad’s back after he misjudged a ROUNDABOUT. Last night PC Nicholas Thorne, 48, was under investigation after his “over the top†arrest was witnessed by a couple in their driveway. Father-of-two Dan Cotbeck, 21 -held face down for half an hour until more cops arrived was released without charge after spending 12 hours at a nick.
